Some of the info does seem a bit sketchy, but it gave me a base to work with for the discussion, I did query the Liverpool price of £9, but I'm guessing that's a kids price?

Agreed. One other factor you could also add is that many people who couldn’t attend because of Covid restrictions have now realised they don’t miss watching Burnley as much as they thought they might.
Some exciting football would be nice too.superdimitri wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 9:20 amWe haven't won at home since January. Would be very different if on a good run with some exciting signings.
It's supply and demand, that's exactly how selling tickets works. The bigger the demand the higher priced the supply.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 8:07 amSo you believe that it's right they were paying more to watch football but they still never reached 7th, no European football and I think that's the season they got relegated?
I don't think the small town mindset is the problem, it's reality in regards to the attendances.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 8:06 amThey generally have been amongst the cheapest in the league, in regards to ST's.
Our cheapest match day ticket price is the equivalent to a takeaway, cheaper than a night out and similar to a few packets of cigarettes.
The mentality is the issue, stuck in the small town mindset.
You've been one of the biggest critics over the years about the club, demanding this, that and the other, especially when it comes to the style of play but you seemingly don't want to pay towards it.
Can't have it both ways, so moving forwards I expect to see less whinging from you about the hoof ball.
The club has helped fans out in regards to payment schemes for the season tickets which were interest free and payments spread out which has been admirable and makes it easier for people to buy them.
High hopes of a good season, good feeling in and around the clubs, and no doubt far cheaper ticketsWinstonswhite wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 8:33 amIt’s not good when teams like Barnsley and Bradford of the Championship and League Two respectively get more on their first home games than us.
The early bird catches the worm....pricing at turf moor is cheap as chips...a lot of what's said on here doesn't register with fans who attend regular home or away. Good post btw.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 3:19 pmYou used to whinge about away games, especially the season when we really struggled away and you didn't attend them either at the time but you made a large amount of the noise on here.
So you stating you're not attending home games isn't really much of an issue for me, you can just sit and whinge from the comfort of your sofa like several others on here clearly do whilst watching the games via a stream online.
The club wants to increase revenue, that's been done to death on here and still you cannot seem to understand how and why they're going about it.
The hoof ball isn't always how we play either, that I saw for my own eyes on Saturday against Brighton, we played some good football on the deck.
The club plays in one of the most watched leagues in the world, £35 for a match day ticket is an absolute bargain, oh wait we're only meant to mention the £50 tickets....to suit the agenda you and others are pushing because it's easier to whinge when you only mention the higher number
Reasons for empty seats have also been listed on here, but now you're suddenly concerned about the "poor"
Won't somebody think of the children![]()
Or another alternative theory being the wife realises just how much the husband was spending on football & taps her foot & rolling pin. It’s going to be noticeable how much was saved footie ain’t a cheap day out.
the one thing I would add to that - the best atmosphere at the Turf was the Cardiff game at home when they gave everyone a scarf. Simple things like that make a huge difference. Spurs yesterday with their flags. I don't buy this "people in Burnley don't like it" rubbishdiamondpocket wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 9:37 amWe have seen many gimmicks over the years and maybe in other places they work but in Burnley people don't care fundamentally.
If we have a winning team, good honest football, like we've seen over the past few years, with players giving it their all, and a team that is evolving and trying to get better then we could have a ground with 4 grassy banks with no covers and no services and we'd be happy.
Get the bloody investment in the team and for the fans. So far, I haven't seen that yet from this lot.
