Wood again fails to make an easy pass after holding up the ball. Rodriguez coming on soon.

Re: Southampton (a)- Match Thread
I’m generally positive but no. We can’t attack. We can’t defend. We make stupid mistakes. We’re too slow to change things. Possibly most importantly we’ve lost our famous strong jaw.

As i said in first half far too casual approach. Training ground approach. No fight … no grit

Who wanted the ball off Tarky? Nobody.
No wonder he wants to leave. Pathetic for a Premier league team.

Commiserate with everyone who has paid to go to Southampton. Best we can do is bring JRod on? I don’t know if I can watch anymore.

Re: Southampton (a)- Match Thread
confidence is shot, embarrassing in the middle of the park between westy & cork there; westy just let the young right back run right through the middle of the park & then Cork lost his legs and balance. Wood can't even play a pass. Wow, we really do look a shambles.
Re: Southampton (a)- Match Thread
Looking forward to all the local game's in the championship next season

Re: Southampton (a)- Match Thread
Wonder goal from nowhere. Cornet. Fantastic. Great knock on from Wood knocking it to Westwood, who dinks it to Cornet. He held off the challenge and volleyed it bottom corner.

I'll ditch this thread. I don't know what's the most depressing - the current scoreline or the reaction on here.

Yeah I am starting to get worried now. The side look bereft of confidence.
Is it only 1 clean sheet so far and that against the dire Norwich?

Re: Southampton (a)- Match Thread
All this previous sh1te about Cornet not tracking back, defending etc have I am afraid been brainwashed by the tedious mantra that we defend from the front framework talk, he is here to brighten up play and score goals, that will do for me.

Defending from the front is the way to beat these guys. They won't push forward if they're worried about our forwards.

Cannot believe an 18 year old defender cannot be tested - fine going forward but likely struggling at the back. Let’s get at him Dwight.

Re: Southampton (a)- Match Thread
great finish, our only bright star today so far & is already carrying this team after only a couple of games. A bit like Dwight when he came in. Let's hope the others can step up to the plate.
