Best advice I could give our guys is feed Varane. I’ve never seen him so poor and he’s one of the best CBs about. Maguire was his usual garbage, how he makes the England team is beyond me.
When Dubravka dropped the ball the ManU player should have just shielded it. He’d have got the pen. Dubravka wasn’t stopping.

No chance, it’s Norwich & Watford & us & our saving grace might be Brentford who are slowly dropping & will drop further.
I keep thinking this about them, but they keep picking up points

Was in a terrible mood at HT. didn’t work out so bad:

- Wilson injury
- ASM injury
- Fernandez suspension
- Cavani equaliser
- Maguire not injured or suspended for our game…

They all do but slowly & progressively towards the end it becomes vital.

Brentford will be down in the mix come the later stages.
And hopefully DL.

Yes. Newcastle didn't look up for it at all, and they'll be worse off than we will after this window is through. We'll raise Newcastle's point on Thursday when we give this dire Man Utd outfit a run for their money.

Plus, Carnit is planning on following Drogba's footsteps. Relegation, they say. Exciting times ahead, says I.

They'll basically need another 25-26 points from 19 matches.

I'm not clued up on Bielsa's career to date but has he managed a team that have had to scrap for points?

They've got far more going forward than we have and that's before the transfer window

Not for the next few games it seems if those calf injuries for Wilson and St Maximan turn out to be bad enough to keep them out for the next few games .

They have the financial clobber to do so. If not they can always fall back to Hendrick.

Time after time you are proven wrong with what you state please learn from what later happens which contradicts what you’ve earlier stated, to say the 2 things collide would be a gross understatement.

If either were playing for Newcastle today I bet they'd have outshone Maguire!

We got out of jail tonight by the sounds of it. Newcastle won't often play so well against an ostensibly big team and not win.

I don't like players getting injured but it happens all the time. Last season was staggering in terms of our constant injuries. If they lose ASM and Wilson for several games it will hit them hard.

They might not be but nobody had their pants pulled down for £80m to sign them.

I’m not sure what match all these folk thinking Newcastle played well were watching.
They had 27% possession and all their attacking was on the break against an awful defence, tonight, and they still only scored 1.
Unfortunately after that game I’m expecting a better ManU for Thursday.

Newcastle were decent but have some very winnable games coming up so the Wilson and ASM injuries tonight could be very bad for them.

If they only get 5 or 6 points from those games it is looking really grim for them, whoever they sign.

Typical ASM tonight. Scores a beauty, misses a sitter, gets injured.

As the game went on and Eddie persisted with his attacking I became more expectant of a United winner.

MU were atrocious. Ronaldo and several others, did not want to mix it. No chasing back at all. When they did equalise, Maguire took all the urgency out of their game. Not once but several times.

Newcastle chased everything.

Worst thing they could do is sign some 'supwrstars'.

4 games in hand. Phew.

No. ManU were shoite and still had over 70% possession. Almost all of Newcastles chances followed defensive mistakes. They just weren’t as good as some are making out, IMO.

United didn't create many chances. Even their goal was a bit scruffy and unlucky on Newcastle's part.

Newcastle hit the post, Saint-Maximin missed a sitter, Almiron went close to a winner but for a superb save from de Gea, and their supporters were well and truly rocking and behind them. They deserved to win. Thankfully they didn't, but anybody watching that game and thinking Newcastle didn't play well are on another planet. They weren't world beaters but they certainly gave it 100% and got a reward for it. I was expecting them to get nothing.

It's the ones above us with points in the bag that we should be worried about. We can sit happy on our games in hand provided we make them count.

Funny how some have their head in the sand and label fellow relegation candidates as 'shoite' when we, with our Aaron Lennons and co are no better but then I suppose we have to watch enough of our own 'shoite' to recognise what shite is.
