I can understand people who live far away leaving early, what i can't understand is people leaving 10 minutes before half time to get a pint in, we are playing the best football in my lifetime, and probably since the 60s heyday, and you'd rather miss it to drink an overprice, crap pint in a plastic glass ?

If the service was actually half decent and organised perhaps they wouldn’t need to leave 10 mins before half time.

They'll never be enough time, good service or not. People will still leave early because it's extra time to get another pint in.

I can understan people leaving on 89 mins yesterday as the game was won and it was obvious there wasn't going to be much injury time to play

People leave early because if they don’t, they don’t get served before the second half. They want a half time pint, what’s wrong with that? It isn’t difficult to create an organised bar service and cut down on waiting times in the queues.

The point I'm making, is that even have time was adjusted to 20 mins, and the service was excellent, some people will still leave early

Having considered the various arguments I think the simplest thing to do is lock everyone in until the match has finished.

Then allow them out after all the players have been applauded off, via the turnstiles, with juniors and accompanying parents first… then by points so that everyone with 6000+ points get priority to get home early. You have to reward loyalty.

pushinpussy, I was one of the people who left 2 minutes before the end. 3 weeks today I was on an operating table having my arm separated from my body, for a surgeon to saw through my arm/shoulder ball and socket joints and replace them with a metal ball and socket.

The lame excuses people think are acceptable, to leave early! One flesh wound and you scarper before the end of a Clarets match!
