JBG changed the game for me
So did Kompany - loving how he's often seeing what needs to be changed and making the right switches.

Cullen has a bit of Barnes in him in his ability to stick his arse out and win a free kick

He's rightly had a lot of plaudits this season but I have to say that today we looked a hell of a let better side with Cork off the pitch. Will be interesting to see how we cope in what will be a tough test against West Brom

Not pretty but another win and clean sheet, we've now discovered how to edge these tight games.

Well worth the ten quid via claretsplayer this game.

Hard fought but deserved victory against a tough opponent with quite a good game plan.

Great subs turned the game once again 👌

Lots of huff and puff from Cov but, apart from the chance stopped by that brilliant tackle from Brownhill, well marshalled by our defence. Amazingly, from such an under par performance, we were the better team in every statistical area, including the only one that matters - goals scored!

I think the weather had a big impact on the first half, second half we managed to get into the game more. We're certainly going to be more agressive with only Cullen and Brownhill in midfield rather than Cork, Cullen and Brownhill regardless - especially if JBG or Twine push into that #10 role. Wouldn't critisise Jack for that in the slightest.

It said in the commentary that Gjøkeres (pronounced Yirkeres, not Jockeres as Phil Bird kept saying) trains with the Burnley team. Anybody know what the score is with that?

The gale affected both halves of the match. Their first half, our second but we still needed the changes to make it home.
Plaudits to them for coming and taking us on. Nobody else has.

That was a cracking win. Can't believe how much better Brownhill looked when he was pushed deeper. Broke up loads and did an excellent job that second half. Him and Cullen started to boss that midfield and break up everything Coventry tried.

What a great second half, it wasn't half pleasing to win that one with the antics of their fans and their keeper. UTC

Didn't Brownhill have some sort of stat last season where he made the most interceptions? I can't quite remember what it was but it suggests he can certainly do a job pushed further back when needed.

Fabulous three points against a well organised team. We will have games like this and we need to remain patient and believe in what VK is doing. Excellent performances from the subs Tella and Guddy. I think Tella has to start, we look much better balanced going forward with him up front. A joy to watch these days.

Yeah, he did a lot of defensive work last season, which led to him being battered for on here by the alleged experts.
