Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Its a complete fraud account ffs.
And Piroe, as good as he might be, isn’t even an out and out striker, he plays the 10 at Swansea, it’s not the profile we need.
As well, Swansea want 20m for him (Leicester were linked at the week but aren’t prepared to pay that amount).

No wonder I hadn’t seen the link, it’s from an account I blocked.

Another twitter account saying Cooper at Plymouth is in talks with us. Not a reliable source by any means.

Cooper does seem to fit the bill though: 22 years old, league one team of the year, lowish fee, top distribution

There’s been regular links to Cooper over a number of weeks from a variety of different sources, which would suggest our interest is genuine.RVclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 2:20 pmAnother twitter account saying Cooper at Plymouth is in talks with us. Not a reliable source by any means.

Quick scan on Plymouth’s messageboard and they seem to accept he’ll leave this summer.
Though it seems it’s not only our fans that put obscene valuations on our players, they seem to think he’ll cost 10m+.
The record for a league One keeper is 3m for Hennessey then 1m for Pope…

Part of me wonders occasionally if Burnley managers have something in their contract stating they must have a certain number of Irish players on the booksRVclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 2:53 pmhttps://footballleagueworld.co.uk/exclu ... -brom-man/

Lovely. This would be a fantastic signing. Surely City would rather get him out on loan than permanent for now.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 4:14 pmhttps://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/stat ... 0544303109

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I'm reading it as they are willing to let him leave permanently
Would depend on the fee but I would imagine we'd have a chance if its with either a big sell on fee to City or an agreed amount they can buy him back
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Probably crazy suggestion but I think we should try to land him permanently using the Collins money.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 4:14 pmhttps://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/stat ... 0544303109

£10m - £15m fee with a buyback clause for City of, say, £25m if we're a Championship side or £35m if we're a Premier League side. Convince Delap by saying he'd be first choice here, 3 years + 1 year option in club's favour (can only be activated if we're Premier League) and allow him a release clause active 2 years into his deal if we're still in the Championship.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Delap would be a good signing if we can get him, good to finally be getting concrete links to strikers now, that's essential if we're to stand any chance of mounting a promotion bid.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Never seem Delap play, but he seems highly rated by most. What type of striker is he?
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
He is but needs senior game time now. They’ve also signed Alvarez and Haaland which is very much blocking his path to the first team.burnley007 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 4:25 pmThat would be incredible, but surely highly unlikely? Isn't he highly thought of there? Bit like THB

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
If they're willing to let Delap go permanently, who is to say they wouldn't sell him to us? I have no idea what he would be worth but he's barely played any first team football.
Loan with an obligation to buy on promotion or something perhaps? Buy back clause included etc.

I've only seen glimpses of him for England U19's, but seemingly he possesses pace, power, and an eye for goal, sounds exactly what we're in dire need of up front.

Yep they’ve been chasing half of City’s under 23s this summer have Southampton. Already signed Lavia and Bazunu, then been linked with a right back, who’s name I’ve forgotten. I think their new chief scout has City connections.
