My stance is that anyone in their right mind would want to look and see how this talented yet occasionally threatening and lightweight youngster gets on at champ level for 6 months or so first.

Why? When they've already seen him play well in the Premier League in a shite team? He's recently stepped up to the French U21's squad and has shown he can score some great goals in the PL, again, in a shite team.

He's not worth £50m like some posters are banging on about, but we'd get £15m for him just for his potential alone.

If he's sold this summer, you'll lose the bet. Make it £40?

Athletic report the other day from Andy Jones named Odobert, Trafford and Berge as 3 that could leave as there is an ‘acceptance 4 first team regulars could leave to play at the highest level’ with Muric considered 1/4. LongsideClaret, accurate with other information, has also mentioned them. As of yet there hasn’t really been any links with Berge and Odobert except Fenerbache being interested in the former.

Every time LongsideClaret says we’re selling Berge and Odobert I die a little inside. I’m thinking of adding him to my for list on those grounds

It’s the reason I can’t get optimistic about the season actually - we have no idea who’ll be here and not, or whether they’ll be suitably replaced.

I think it’s likely we’ve downgraded our GK department significantly this window, I can’t see us replacing Berge with a better midfielder, so that will be downgraded. Odobert has adequate cover within, but well then lose out on a much bigger fee than if we kept him. Inevitable, I know, but doesn’t mean I have to enjoy watching it transpire.

Longside said as much yesterday. Looks more likely to be Travers than Rodak at the moment . Also Nixon quoted we wanted Rodak but wages were the issue.

I can’t see us signing both after Hladky has already joined which correlates with what Longside said about the third keeper being promoted from youth .

Really rate O'Brien. Had a weird couple of seasons after not playing much at Forest and the move to Rovers falling through. But he was immense for Huddersfield when they reached the play off final. Was the best player on the pitch by some distance that day at Wembley.

As much as I agree that O'Brien is a decent player, I do feel Brownhill needs a bit more respect against his name.

I'm not doubting O'Brien is quality in the Championship, but Brownhill was one of the best players in the league two years ago and was rightly named in the PFA team of the season. If we field a midfield three of Cullen, Berge and Brownhill in August, we'll walk the Championship.

Totally agree re Brownhill. He is awesome in the Championship and if we keep Berge, an absolute must in my view and Cullen, another absolute must not lose player we storm this league.

Will draw a line under it at this post cause I don't want to dominate the discussion but it doesn't matter whether me you or the club think his value is 10m, 25m or a 100m.

His value is whatever a club interested in him is prepared to offer and I will hang my hat that precisely zero clubs think he will be worth 25m in this window. I'm not saying that won't be the case in future.

You’ve had this in the know act since the club where looking for a new manager and since then you haven’t said anything of any substance
