Let's play a game of "Spot Sidney".Walton wrote:Wow, Sidney's right arm must be hurting from all that sieg heiling, as he defends pure fascism.

As a committed fascist (by which I mean Sidney; not me LOL!) I'm sure Sidney will pop up on at least one of those photos. Probably 2 or 3.
Once you've spotted him be sure to report him to the nice people at anti-fa so they can post some excrement through his letterbox and paint "****" on his door.
Only then will we be safe from fascism.

I'm pretty sure Sidney is in his 30s, not from the 1930s.

And I'm pretty sure Sidney isn't a fascist but be damned if we let little things like that get in the away of a good denunciation.Lancasterclaret wrote:I'm pretty sure Sidney is in his 30s, not from the 1930s.

I see him! He's the 312th from the left on the image of Hitler!
If he was there he'd more arsed about the Merc than some German fellow with small tache.
Mercedes 770 / 770K (W105) btw Sidney. 230 bhp from 7.7 litres (Kompressor).

Isn't it funny that Rowls was getting terribly upset that i was saying he made an argument that he claimed not to me (he did) while here he is saying i'm making an argument that Sidney's a fascist (i'm not).
But then Rowls is a raging hypocrite so i guess i shouldn't be surprised.

Here's an up to date photo of me and the next generation of fascist from my family.

OK guys!
Believe it or not I'm off out to hang out with, among others, a girl from Catalonia.
She's all excitable about this sh:t right now.
Have a lovely evening.
Anything I may or may not post when I come back in is invalid.
PS - We're on to you Sidney, you fascist!

That's not the case. The ballot was phrased as a referendum which, if voted for, would lead to secession. The Spanish constitution refers to the indivisibility of the nation. It's a written constitution. The highest court in Spain, which has jurisdiction over Catalonia as well in such matters, declared the ballot illegal. Not "a bad idea". Not " unlikely to be accepted by Madrid". Not "a waste of time".
Illegal.
Thanks for that. If it was illegal then that to me shows that it really ought not to have been. Fair play to them who have flouted the law on this.

And so the break up of Europe continues... remember who started all this folks...
Who next?
Who next?
Re: Cantalunya Independence Vote
Putin. But whatever. That's quite desperate. Catalan independence was an issue before the EU was even formed. The movement began almost a hundred years ago. Not that it'd be granted, but an independent Catalonia would surely seek membership considering the size of its tourism industry.
Re: Cantalunya Independence Vote
The break up of the USSR and the independence of various 'new' countries obviously came with some provisos, otherwise Kazakhstan would not be in the UEFA cohort.

"Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont has delayed an announcement of plans for the future of the Spanish province.
There was speculation that he was about announce a unilateral declaration of independence from Spain following a disputed referendum.
But a session of the regional parliament was delayed at the last minute, amid growing demands for him to drop plans to break away.
Reports say Catalan party leaders are meeting before the session begins.
Catalan police have been posted outside the parliament in Barcelona, sealing off the grounds to the public.
Earlier, the mayor of Barcelona has urged Mr Puigdemont and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy to "de-escalate" the crisis.
The Madrid government called on the Catalan leader "not to do anything irreversible, not to pursue a path of no return and not to make any unilateral independence declaration".
And the president of the EU's European Council has appealed to him to respect Spain's constitutional order."
