Good show. Bruce, Elvis Costello and many others all turned out to show their respect.exilecanada wrote: ↑Mon Mar 08, 2021 2:32 pmAnother piece of Jackson Browne trivia;
He was back up singer on Roy Orbison's epic "Black and White Night".

Still got most of mind... eyes pop out £1 on Rawtenstall market to £70+ now....Steve1956 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 11:39 amI would give my right arm to walk round here,nothing beats sliding an LP out of its sleeve giving it a clean then putting the needle on the vinyl.....Cd's and digital music are the worst thing to happen to music,although when I was buying vinyl it was £2.50...these days some albums are £22.00 +.....I miss vinyl.

Mod revival I used to mop up on Accrington market, regularly popping up for £100+ Especially as I bought second copies if I spotted any in the 10p bin

I chose for my brother's funeral Entanglement by Genesis (off Trick of the Tail). It was the CD on his player.timshorts wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:45 amTrespass is probably the album that I have at the top of the pile. There is some real dross after Duke, but the yellow coloured one, I think it is "shapes", is definitely worthwhile.
A few years back, I was at a funeral of somebody that would now be nearing 100 if still with us, and she went out to atomic rooster. I'd like to think she had picked that herself. Another one had definitely selected dark side of the moon - but she suffered badly from dementia, among other things. Still, it beats "my way" and the truly turgid version of the Lord is my shepherd that the local crematorium has pre-recorded. It seems to have about a million verses.
I could perhaps have chosen the DVD off his DVD player. It would have been interesting as it was someone giving someone a blowjob!

I have been listening to the first Weather Report album. It makes for good music to edit to. Usually I have Tangerine Dream on.

Blood on the tracks - Dylan isn’t really my choice of listening, but a stunning album - ‘Jack of Hearts’ always reminds me of our club’s individual ability to upset the apple cart.

I always listened to Simon & Garfunkel way back when. I have almost everything done by them but, for some reason, I'd missed this one from 2002.
I discovered it by accident recently and have now played it to death...
