I asked someone down at the club today if they know when the new kit is announced. They said it was leaked yesterday. Confirmed that it's real.

Only word of mouth, mind. But they did work for the club.
Working out in the field now, as opposed to from the armchair, I see :)

One would imagine that the kit is more popular amongst the younger fans and that the proportion of our fans who use Twitter are in that category.
Which you would think are the ones who would buy the kit so makes sense.

Out of interest, what were the initial thoughts on the 91-93 shirt? As this one is similar. I know it was referred to as the birds!t shirt but it's one of the most seen shirts on match day nowadays. I like it and I like this new one, if it is the new one.

Having hated it in the pictures previously shown, I think I’m changing my mind now, I quite like that.

I’d prefer a more classic design but it ain’t bad.

Will the players’ names on the back have the squiggly bit on them as if they have been embroidered by hand? Seems to have been done on all EFL shirts for a while now. Some sponsorship deal I believe.

The short and socks might still be white.
Looking at that link, it's a unofficial kit made for PES (football game) by the community.

Looks like they've seen the leaked shirt, and made the rest to suit themselves.

Actually, if that one shown above is correct, apart from the shirts and socks, it ain’t as bad as I initially thought. We should have white shorts and hooped socks, or if not hooped socks then white.

Weren’t we told it was SD that wanted blue shorts? Should be ditched now if that was the case.

Oh, and the 91 shirt? Shocking. Wasn’t even claret….

Love it personally.

With the sponsor being what it is it will be a bit of a timeless kit.

I’d imagine it’s a huge revenue drop in terms of sponsorship however.

Maybe they’ve tweaked the blue a bit as it looks alright on the latest pics. But on the pic on the official website announcing classic shirts as the sponsor it looks too dark. Will need to see it ‘in the flesh’.

The quote refers to the sponsorship deal with Classic Football Shirts not the kit. It’s a partial quote, full quote;

“The collaboration is perfectly timed in the year that we celebrate Burnley FC’s 140th anniversary and together, we have some fantastic events and unique activations planned for the season ahead to tell the story of and celebrate our great Club and the iconic kits that have been there along the way.”
