For the numbers being quoted: Bite their hand off!
It's not often Daniel Levy has his pants pulled down but Pace has managed it here.

Possibly, but we are no where near £50 million net sales. According to Transfermarket we spent Eur30 million on Esteve and Tresor and another 6.5 on Hountondji and Pires.Superjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 7:04 pmMaybe the thinking is reintegrate Tresor and try to get at least the money back there. Daft purchase really.
We've sold Muric and Odobert.
I think a lot of people in the media are surprised, we've managed to maintain so much of the squad.
Long may it continue.

Good player and we will miss him but it’s not like in the past when we sold our star players because we have so many more talented players available to us, particularly at this level. Up the mighty clarets, come what may.

£10m for Kompany as well, was it raising to £15m , best sale of the season that one.ClaretPete001 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 7:13 pmPossibly, but we are no where near £50 million net sales. I make that
£43m in so far but yeah there’s the purchases to knock off
Re: ARTICLE: Odobert leaves for Spurs
Esteve and Tresor will have already been factored in as guaranteed buys from last year.ClaretPete001 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 7:13 pmPossibly, but we are no where near £50 million net sales. Odobert 25-30
Muric 10-15
Twine 3.5-4
BPF 0.5
Bastien (?)
50-62.5 there. Esteve and Tresor are really in last years spend of £95-100m. Another big sale (Berge or Trafford) and we’d have brought in an almost similar amount to what was spent. We’ll see if that happens but it sounds like we’ve been holding out for large fees which suggests we aren’t exactly desperate for cash flow.

I guess he's the replacement for the moody Brazilian wanted in Saudi.
A good bit of business. It seems something special to pick up a kid from ligue 2, but I'm typing this at half time at dunkirk v annecy.
The quality is pretty dreadful. From the 45 minutes that I've watched, 3 players stand out from the rest, and dunkirk 20 bardeli should not be at this level. It's reminded me of Scott Parker when younger. He's 23.
The rest would have trouble getting into Oxford utd side, but they'd feel at home there as this ground only has 2 and a bit sides...

Re: ARTICLE: Odobert leaves for Spurs
You might be mistaken thinking that way it's far more suggestive that the maintenance is down to most not being wanted & for a reason. We haven't really had to fend anybody off to reject bid after bid the 1s wanted have been quickly picked off without protracted negotiations. The only slow 1 (if true) is oshea where we appear to be holding out for more money if Brentford have lowballed.ClaretPete001 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 7:13 pmPossibly, but we are no where near £50 million net sales. Re: ARTICLE: Odobert leaves for Spurs
I think Parker will have known full well he was likely to lose a few quality players. And I think that applies to the fans too. If he was our only top attacking player I'd be worried but we've got loads of quality options. I think Amdouni, if he stays, will suprise a few this season.

Berge slipped your mind too? He’s hardly been quickly ‘picked off’ despite United’s obvious interest.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 12:47 amYou might be mistaken thinking that way it's far more suggestive that the maintenance is down to most not being wanted & for a reason. Re: ARTICLE: Odobert leaves for Spurs
Seems some don’t realise that Tresor is still at the club and that it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that he has a break out season this season.
We all saw how good he was at Genk and I know I wasn’t the only one excited by the signing at the time. Anyone would think we had bought the trebor mint man instead going off the harsh criticism he’s receiving after one season where no Burnley player heaped themselves in glory.

Re: ARTICLE: Odobert leaves for Spurs
No doubt he’d be excellent this season but I’d be shocked to see Tresor play for Burnley again. A year ago he was getting into the Belgium team and recording the most assists in Europe, he’ll have an abundance of clubs after him on loan and we’ll be forced to accept it as he doesn’t want to be here.Foshiznik wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 8:03 amSeems some don’t realise that Tresor is still at the club as it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that he has a break out season this season. Re: ARTICLE: Odobert leaves for Spurs
Where did he say he didn’t want to be here? Surely he had to sign a contract to become permanent at Burnley this summer too?RVclaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 8:04 amNo doubt he’d be excellent this season but I’d be shocked to see Tresor play for Burnley again. Re: ARTICLE: Odobert leaves for Spurs
It will have all been agreed in the contract last summer.
Simplifying it
‘If you play more than 5 games then you will become a permanent Burnley player on a 3 year contract’.
He signs and that’s that. As for not wanting to be here, every single other Burnley player has returned for at least a day in pre season, he’s deleted anything Burnley related on instagram and barely played last season. I get the impression he doesn’t want to be here.

1. Add ons etc not included because we don't know how much or even if we will get them..!
2. Agents fees etc not included but they will definitely have been incurred.
3. Rough currency translation we all know these figures are probably only ball park (if that)
Kompany - £10 million (Independent, Burnley Express)
Odobert - £25 million (Transfermarket)
Muric - £9 million (Transfermarket)
Twine - £3 million (Bristol Live)
BPF - £0.5 million (Transfermarket)
Bastien - ?
Let's say £50 million
Less: (all Transfermarket)
Tresor - £15 million
Esteve - £10 million
Hountodji - £3 million
Pires £2 million
Let's say £30 million
Net Income £20 million
Last years spend in Euros (£94 million) - Transfermarket
Zeki Amdouni FC Basel 18.60
James Trafford Man City U21 17.30
Aaron Ramsey Aston Villa U21 16.45
Jordan Beyer Bor. M'gladbach 15.00
Sander Berge Sheff Utd 13.90
Wilson Odobert Troyes 12.00
Dara O'Shea West Brom 7.80
Michael Obafemi Swansea 4.00
Hannes Delcroix RSC Anderlecht 3.00
Luca Koleosho RCD Espanyol B 3.00

Re: ARTICLE: Odobert leaves for Spurs
Indeed I think most sensible people would have expected to see more activity this summer but I don't want to conjecture at this point about why it hasn't happened....Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 12:47 amYou might be mistaken thinking that way it's far more suggestive that the maintenance is down to most not being wanted & for a reason. It could be because we haven't got cash flow problems or it could be because we simply can't afford to sell them off cheap.
