Re: Mighty Clarets versus Lincoln farmers in FA Cup
No complaints they deserve it and we should be utterly embarrassed. They've actually outplayed us.

Absolutely abysmal. Looking forward to hear what Dyche has to say for himself and the players.
Well done to Lincoln, they must be in dreamland.

never mind, its just a competition for running out second string sides. No more than a freindly type ofgame. move on to the real thing again now.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Lincoln farmers in FA Cup
Nothing but praise to Lincoln. In fairness, they played exactly how we have played at points this season. Physical, annoying, stopping the flow.
Our finishing however was terrible. Gray still has a lot to prove and his pace shouldn't put him directly in that team. Strikers are paid to score and he missed some gifted opportunities which a Sunday-league lad would score.
Saying that, can't bash him personally for the loss, the whole team were bad.
At least we get to let the fairy tale continue for Lincoln whilst watching Rovers get hammered tomorrow.

It's not luck to beat Ipswich, B&HA and us. Well organised hard working team, not great but resolute and determined. Well played, yes we were poor, but just as we made Chelsea look less than they are last week, they made us look poorer than we are.

It was SO embarrassing! SO bloody awful! SO devoid of ANYTHING that I`m almost not bothered by it. I AM but I`m not. Time for alternative facts from Dyche. HOW CAN THAT HAPPEN??????

I get the feeling that Dyche won't be that bothered to be honest. Cup has never been a focus while he's been in charge.

all about attitude today, Barton sets the tone and today he got it all wrong. Shambolic, just hope this doesn't derail our season

Well that's ruined the weekend. Just glad no one saw red.
It's so typical of us, as poor as the Stanley game.

Of course there's a bigger picture and Dyche probably isn't bothered but i ******* am as I'm sure most supporters are, had a decent chance to go really far in this comp!IndigoLake wrote:I get the feeling that Dyche won't be that bothered to be honest. Re: Mighty Clarets versus Lincoln farmers in FA Cup
yes, maybe when we are established in this division, otherwise there is only one priority, to stay safe.Dyched wrote:No. Its an opportunity to actually win something. That is what sport is about.
Why do you think there has been so much said about under strength sides ? its because they aren't bothered. Big deal for pub teams like lincoln, they can kid themselves they have created a bit of history, but its meaningless in the scheme of things.
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Lincoln farmers in FA Cup
That team should have walked it. They literally outfought us.
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Lincoln farmers in FA Cup
Established?? We will never be established in the premier league. Never.
What crap. I can't wait to tell my grand children the glorious days of finishing 17 in epl rather than getting to semi/finals.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Lincoln farmers in FA Cup
I'm just glad i didn't waste my money on that, we were total garbage.
Barton needs to remember who's in charge both on and off the pitch, he was a liability in the second half.
Toss up between Gray and Flanagan for Lincoln's MOM.
And it comes to something when our hopeless (according to some) reserve right back is our best player.

Burnley season has been spectacular, most clarets wouldnt have minded progress in the cup, but its not the cup of years ago. Its a pale shadow .Dyched wrote:Established?? We will never be established in the premier league. Never.

Why was sean dyche not fielding his best 11 if it was such a big issue?

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Lincoln farmers in FA Cup
I was sat at home watching bits of it on a live stream, I have no interest in it because I know the club has no real interest in it.
I ordinarily cant wait to get on the league games, the lure of a disgraceful london based wembley semi final for those that make it through shows it all for what it is. A nonsense. Johnsons paint trophy affair thesedays.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Lincoln farmers in FA Cup
That's life baby we move on . Yep we were beaten, we ran out of ideas in the end but if we win at Hull next week and at the end of the season the Imps are promoted to league 2 and we are still in in the premier league how will you fell ????????? think about it .
