Re: Europa League Thread
I am rather hoping that Eintract Frankfurt get into the EL rather than RB Leipzig. A tie between us would bring back memories.
Re: Europa League Thread
Surely the club wouldn't be daft enough to think we wouldn't sell ALL the allocation offered and that they'll try as many tickets as they can regardless of whoever we play in the away leg(s).

Re: Europa League Thread
Just been looking at flights for various locations (nothing better to do) and it won't be cheap wherever we go. School holidays end of July early August, result is prices double plus some for most flights

Re: Europa League Thread
Seeing as they didn't think we'd sell 3 thousand for a game at Arsenal on a bank holiday weekend where we could seal our European place I wouldn't bank on it!Spijed wrote:Surely the club wouldn't be daft enough to think we wouldn't sell ALL the allocation offered and that they'll try as many tickets as they can regardless of whoever we play in the away leg(s).

Re: Europa League Thread
Eintracht Frankfurt would be disappointing for all us Clarets who went in 2006 to the World Cup match between England and Paraguay.
Would be nice to visit a new ground

That is possibly the highest temperature I have ever sat and watched a game in. It was unrelentingly hot

Re: Europa League Thread
At C&J’s post290 it says there will be a first leg on August9th. The new PL season kicks off on August 11th, so no Saturday start for us.

Don’t UEFA rules state no alcoholic beverages on sale within grounds for their competitions?

Couldn't disagree more. Took in Eintracht last year for a Bundesliga game. The most intense and enjoyable atmosphere I have ever witnessed at a football ground. I visit Verona on a regular basis taking in both Chievo and Hellas and witnessing a few of the Ultra loons but nothing like Frankfurt. here's hoping
Re: Europa League Thread
Have to agree iw1961. Work in Frankfurt occasionally and have been to a few games. The atmosphere, especially in the standing areas, is fantastic. Also possible to drive to places like this avoiding costly flights.
