Agreed. When his form was shocking at the start of the season I was really against Wood but my god he has proven me wrong.

He has scored 33% of all of our goals this season. If he gets injured we would be in serious trouble.

Absolutely spot on.

Even with the goalscoring exploits of Wood we currently sit 3rd among the 4 teams which have scored the fewest goals this season, and the other 3 clubs fill the bottom 3 relegation places.

If Wood had suffered a long term injury we would have been relegated for certain.

Why the hell were the fans booing, we were playing Liverpool FGS, just maybe if the crowd got behind the lads instead of constantly being on their backs they might respond in kind, and just what did those who attended expect tonight, if Liverpool play anything like their best then 9 times out of 10 they'll beat us, and that's what happened this evening, we certainly weren't dreadful as some are implying, and if Wood or Tarks had scored then it could have been a different outcome.

The main thing this season with all the turmoil is we've survived and will still be a PL team come August, and for that feat alone SD and the squad should be lauded.
As I said only watched last 10 mins, appeared to be booing Liverpools tatics and certain players...all sounded very lower league / pre season atmosphere.

Exactly, towards the end the Liverpool team as a whole were being booed, during the game individuals got it - Robertson, Mane and Salah especially.
There was never any booing directed towards any of our lads at any time.

A lot of the booing was for certain Pool players who failed to stay on their feet or were being unsportsmanlike, Mane for example.
