We have too much pace up top for most of the teams in this division.

Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
I must admit, it's very refreshing to see 40 yard passes. Especially when they're as good as the two assists tonight. Great running too

Chorus of “Super James Trafford in Goal” should put the rumours that it’s us booing him

Really refreshing this.
No ideological crap, just playing proper football. The players look like they have freedom (within reason) to play off instinct rather than forcing things and doing training ground moves up and down the pitch.
Good stuff.

Trafford booked for being so slow!
Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
Most important of all, confirmation that the trim on each players shirt is slightly different.
Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
Koleosho's looking kinda tonk these days, has he been following the Adama Traore workout plan?

That's 6"1, mean brick shizzlehouse Carlton Morris getting 'wrestled' to the floor by little Luca.
Ref keeps falling for it and it looks to be the only viable tactic they have.

And we've only had 45 mins or so of the season.
Just imagine if we improve a lot.

Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
Much quicker sharper passing. Longer balls bypassing the press...!
Looking much better. Bit concerned about Odobert and Foster holding that middle line but then again who needs to hold anything when you are as fast as a train....!

Good half. Took the chances and really limited them to pretty much nothing.

Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
Been a very good half.
We've looked better all over.
They've just not handled our press or energy!
Two cracking goals.
Great watch.

Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
Sorry if it has been asked already but which fans are booing Trafford I sincerely hope it is not ours. And is it me or has Lyle put on a lot of timber?
Koleosho absolutely frightens them to death.

Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
Rodriguez or Weghorst or even Houdini for Foster, at some stage. We may need to hold the ball up.

Mixed football. Some short, some long. Solid at the back. Good shape. Decent pressure on the ball. Very professional.

Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
I didn’t know what to expect today, a bit like Huddersfield away two years ago. So far, I’m much more impressed by this first half display than I was 2 years ago and that is saying something.

A lot of energy that half and with subs to come with pace looks promising.. you could see how wout in fosters position would be even more impactful in this setup and play.. be interesting to see who comes on when the changes are made
Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
Excellent, great management, is it just me though paused for VAR after both goals ?

Considering the respective oppositions it’s far more impressive than even that magical night. Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
Centre halves outstanding and giving us the solid platform from which to play. Great mixture of long and short passing which I presume is due to the opposition. Hopefully we will be a little less direct in the majority of games but today it's been the perfect tactic.

Great half more of the same please
Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
That’s been comfortable.
This game is just made for WW to come on and control things up front.

Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
We look really good and together as a group, 45 mins in and I'm already thinking would Scott Parker have kept our squad up last season
Re: Luton v Burnley Match Thread
Koleosho is absolutely rattling their young full-back at times and he looks like no slouch either. Must be questioning his choice of career at this point.

Great first half. Used our pace and no stupid tippy tappy around our penalty area. Would though like us to keep the ball better, but good so far.
