Sonne has been awful tonight
He is awful tbh. Looks like a lower league player.

Hate to throw shade on one of our own players, but I don't see anything that he does well.

I think Tresor has flattered to deceive. Made a few eye-catching dances but his end product has been poor. All fart and no solid.

I think we are now at the point where Parker needs some stern questions about why Tresor is not in the squad.

A lack of goals will cost us in the end.

Pity the club didn't consult you first seen as it sounds like you apparently knew that he was going to be ill/injured.
What a stupid comment, he’s been injured, not he was going to be injured.

Fair play to Cardiff. Set up really well and worked together as a team throughout. We didn’t seem to know what we were doing for 60 minutes.

Fair play to Cardiff, they worked hard with some quality give and go football.

Our 2nd eleven a mixture of unfit, uninterested and not good enough.

Ekitike has been sent off for Liverpool after scoring and taking his shirt off. Bit ridiculous when he knows he is on a yellow. Are they not using VAR this round or is it just when Liverpools goal looked like it could be offside they don't use it?

As I said before the game. Parker showed no interest in winning that game. Humphreys in midfield was an absolute joke.

There had clearly been absolutely zero preparation for the game in terms of pressing patterns, it was an absolute shitshow from start to finish.

Tresor once again showing he is levels above most of our squad in terms of ability. We probably won't see him in a Burnley shirt again now. I'd much prefer to see him than Edwards.

Shambles that. It's like they had an extra man - Flemming and Broja marking no one in the middle being completely ineffective without the ball, letting them overload us else where.

The quality of players we had on that pitch we should have won, simple.

Sounds as if we will be very exposed if many of this team is called upon due to injuries in our regular players
How many do we lose to the Africa cup?

Starts and ends with scott parker that. Formation, tactics, team selection (well bench) and subs. Dont get me wrong 99% of the players (Hanibal aside) didnt look like they could be bothered, neither did us as a fan base, but Parker was fundamentally at fault.

Edwards and Tresor certainly have the quality ,but not the effort ,Hannibal all effort but not all quality ,Humphreys,Worrall ,Broja and several others way off it.

This.

We pressed really poorly high up the pitch to begin with, and then the back line was sat far too deep which left acres of space in the middle.

Utterly bemusing tactics tonight from SP when usually he is spot on.

Tresor looks a class apart.

Fleming took his goal well.

The rest did themselves no favours with the manager for the team selection for Saturday.

Why on Earth were we sat so deep and didn't try to push up or support when going forward. Never put any pressure on Cardiff at all. Can't believe what I've just watched. It was very strange

My main concern is Parker thinks Banel is a better option now in both league cup ties. Tresor may not be the answer in the prem but i am absolutely certain Banel isn’t either.

You can see the difference though with our players. Broja was screaming for the ball and Sonne either didn't see him, ignored him or just decided it was too difficult. Walker or Cullen would have had him in straight away.

There's not one attacking player I'd have on the bench before Tresor. Unless his illness means he can't play, getting 10 minutes in the carabao Cup is almost insulting. I wish a journalist would ask a direct question

All on Parker that performance.
The midfield looks none existent on paper and the stats showed it …. not a tackle in sight.

Hannibal aside - no one could be bothered.

Note to self when FACup tickets go on sale if this is SP mantra.
