Can we at least get a genuine English anthem? Not so sure why we sing the British one...

Will there ever be a time that England fans don't book the opposing team's anthem.

The Swiss are a better team - much better movement also in first ten mins

Re: Euro 2024
Yep pace is slow , sluggish movement and to many side to side balls - but we do look dangerous when we try taking on 1-1CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 5:11 pmAgreed.
Despite change in system the same problems will become apparent.
The front line is static.
Re: Euro 2024
Only Southgate could see the positives in Trippier left wing back and Saka right wing back.
Instantly loses the width sorry but the guy is an absolute moron.

Re: Euro 2024
So despite all the supposed changes Trippier is still on the left and Saka on the right.

Re: Euro 2024
Yep, I’d have had Saka left wing back and TAA right wing back if that’s the system we insist on.

Re: Euro 2024
Much better last ten mins - mixing it up bit more pace on play
Re: Euro 2024
The Swiss right back won't have an easier game he knows they'll be no running in behind and whenever Trippier gets it he'll cut back.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 5:18 pmBaffling isn't it that? I was gobsmacked when I saw Saka line up on the right.
I just don't understand the logic hopefully the players can drag us through
Re: Euro 2024
What on earth was Harry Kane doing there when Saka got to the byline and put a ball across? He simply didn’t move into the box.
We desperately need some width down the left and some energy up top, as we have said in every single game so far.

Re: Euro 2024
The Swiss ain't a bad side. Hungry, Strong, skilfull. England need to be on top form to beat these lads.

Re: Euro 2024
I’m convinced Harry Kane is playing injured. Just a name on the team sheet, like Ronaldo7.
He didn’t finish the season at Bayern with a back injury and he’s not recovered. Hook him.

I take your point, but Saka has been Englands best player so far.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 5:18 pmBaffling isn't it that? I was gobsmacked when I saw Saka line up on the right.

Not so sure about that - he's done well but the team would have been performing better imo if he and Trippier were on the opposite flanks.

Not too bad really. Doing better against the Swiss than Italy at least.

Re: Euro 2024
What's these pundits raving about Foden for
Terrible up top again but if we play Watkins he makes a run in behind and that creates space for Bellingham and Foden to play

Walker has been dire
Sub him put Tripp at right back .Palmer on for Saka.Toney for Kane and Gordon left wing
This back and sideways passing is complete shite.

Re: Euro 2024
It's been a half of hiding from kane , what are we supposed to do when you've got that immobile lump wanting an inch perfect pass every ball into the box because he's not moving or creating anything, it's like he's marking their defenders FFS!
Kane has become a massive issue for this team IMO

Could Trippier actually beat his man if he played in Saka's position?CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 5:44 pmNot so sure about that - he's done well but the team would have been performing better imo if he and Trippier were on the opposite flanks.
Re: Euro 2024
Saka been our best player, system been good, obv would be better with a better left sided wing back.

Listening to these so called experts makes you realise why they are not managers ! Not sure what game they’ve been watching as it’s just the same as we’ve seen for the past 4 games.

I know it won’t happen but I think we play better when Kane not in the team .. he plays far too deep and doesn’t seem to be involved

Not to that degree no.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 5:53 pmCould Trippier actually beat his man if he played in Saka's position?
I just find the system strange tbh. He's doing well yes, but then play him as an inside forward, not a wing back?
Re: Euro 2024
The formation is irrelevant when players who are selected create such imbalance

Re: Euro 2024
Agreed again Bumba.
I have no idea wtf a lot of 'pundits' and managers these days think they're doing. It really is a simple game that's needlessly overcomplicated at times.
