As far as we know. Didn't know much about O'Shea's transfer until it was virtually done so who knows.

My wife keeps asking if I've got any inside info but I'm certainly not going to tella

If Tella really is available and at £15m I am stunned we're seemingly not pursuing it.

I thought it was now a given that he's not our primary target but we'll go for him if those target(s) don't materialise.jedi_master wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 4:56 pmIf Tella really is available and at £15m I am stunned we're seemingly not pursuing it.

Anyone know why the Leyton Orient keeper is taking so long to sign? The media were telling us it was pretty much done a week ago. I’m not that bothered but just wondering why it’s taking so long to announce given how quick the O’Shea deal/announcement happened.

After he showed interest for Burnley and Kompany as a manager I think that's very good news. Unfortunately it doesn't look like Burnley is trying to make an offer. He would go for around 17m.AshevilleNCClaret wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 8:56 pmTresor supposedly not interested in joining crystal palace.

He’s one I really want to get in but I don’t think we will. We seem to be looking at players with a smaller fee with potential to make profit on. Moneyball all the way. If we can find some gems like zaroury and benson I’ll be more than happy.
Defo need a number 9/10 though

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Was a promising talent at Dortmund, but hasn’t really established himself and missed half of last season at Hoffenheim with a groin injury that required surgery. You’d assume he’s coming in for a small fee as a bit of a punt. Danish media were reporting last week that Hoffenheim were willing to let him go for less than £2m.claretlegend wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 7:57 amJacob Bruun Larsen from Hoffenheim, Danish international is the rumour. Kompany had him on loan at Anderlecht, so maybe he’s seen something he thinks he can nurture.

Appears to be a left winger and we do need competition for Zaroury. Benson/JBG for the right, Zaroury and A.Nother for the left.claretlegend wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 7:57 amJacob Bruun Larsen from Hoffenheim, Danish international is the rumour. Anyone know anything about him?
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I followed him during his loan spell at Anderlecht where he did some amazing things, also some games where he was invisible. I think you can compare him best to Benson. A guy with an amazing skillset to go past players, fast with a rocket shot in his legs. He even scored an amazing winning freekick against Mignolet at Club Bruges. Also made another important late equaliser against Bruges, which is about the highest level of opponent you get in Belgium.claretlegend wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 7:57 amJacob Bruun Larsen from Hoffenheim, Danish international is the rumour. He is a Dortmund youth player even played some games for the first team. Promising player that didn't live up to his potential.
Maybe if he can be bought for cheap it's not a bad option as a bench player. Looks like he does fit into Kompany's playing style as he's technically able and smart and fast. Maybe he can improve under his wings. If you see what happened to Benson and Cullen they made amazing progress.
I would say he's not quite the level I would expected Burnley to try and buy going into the premier league. As he's been struggling for most of his career, but so was Benson so was Gomez when he came to Anderlecht. If the will is there, why not? He definitely isn't a bad player.

We didn’t announce the Egan-Riley signing last year until about three days after the deal had been done. I’ve been ready to go with this one all week but I’m sure it’s done or all but done. Not heard of any reason for it not to have been sorted.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 8:36 pmAnyone know why the Leyton Orient keeper is taking so long to sign? Imagine this was the attacking player I was told about then. Bit of one to develop & some strength in depth vs a starter.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I do rate Zaroury and Benson way higher than Bruun but you never know. He does have the potential to become a great player.
He does have some great technical ability. Typical winger, after seeing his videos again I might say it's a good idea to buy such a guy for 2m. Wouldn't go any higher though as honestly Burnley should aim higher like for example Trésor.
