Essentially its a "Special Military Operation to remove neo-Nazis from Kyi'v"

All the footage on Russian TV is basically Russian troops being victorious everywhere, being welcomed by cheering crowds (almost certainly staged in the LDR or the DDR) and the odd footage of a hero being buried

Nothing like 10 destroyed T-72s in a morning or anything like that

But a lot of stuff will be getting through, but its a huge ask to expect it to have an affect on how Putin fights this war, and its clear he's going all in because he knows failure means he's toast

Course, the fact he might take us all down with him doesn't matter to him

That worries me more than anything, I see the twitter feeds etc, but clear as day the comments are not posted by Russians.

Yup, but the key is whether the Ukrainian can continue to deny Russia air superiority, and keep Russian units on the edge of supply

They are going to capture some weaponry absolutely no doubt, and I'm afraid I just don't enough about how Ukraine is using its own armour and mechanized equipment (because no one seems to know)

BBC reporting that the yanks say Russians less than 10 miles from Kiev and advancing on “ at least” 2 fronts . You have to admire the courage of the UKR , but this could be horrific . I’d imagine vast amounts of residents are hopefully evacuated before the almost inevitable blitz . It’s almost impossible to know how strong the Russians really are , but for sheer numbers and ordnance , surely outnumbering the UKR forces .

Not so sure about that - there have been some real ball-breakers today. Removal from WTO will cripple Russia alone - EU to express Ukraine into Europe - a DOUBLING of weapons from EU - and lots on other sanctions.

Russia is heading for famine should they persist.

I think upping the anti plays into what he wants

as maybe, but those sanctions aren't going to immediately affect the thinking of those sitting around the table with him though. We've offered nothing back (that I'm aware of) in terms of being aggressive in a retaliatory action (which to me would be the way to make his generals and decision makes pay more attention in the immediate term). Very fine line to tread obviously, but if Putin wins we are heading to an even darker place imho
