All I have been told is that he isn't their first choice and they will only finalise if their other targets fall through but he understandably is happy to wait and see what happens.warksclaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 10:22 pmSeems more a case of when, rather than if, of Berge going to Man Utd now. It will test our resolve over fee-I hope we play hard ball as they obviously want him. Much as I like Berge I am as surprised they have targetted him, as I was of Bayern Munich targetting VK
Which makes him a better man than me.

If what you have been told is true then it actually probably works in our favour a little bit because Berge seems the type that isn’t pushing for a move and down tooling but obviously it will be on his mind. If he is waiting for united then hopefully that means there’s no other clubs he will go to so that if United get their first choice target then he will stay.
If Berge goes to united then it’s a good advert that even in one of the worst seasons in our prem history, you can stand out and get a move to one of the biggest clubs in the world, abit like kompany to Bayern.

Haven’t seen his name mentioned in a while now but does anyone know anything about JBL potentially returning? Can see he’s played in a few friendlies for Hoffenheim but not sure if he will be a regular for them?
Personally I’d love him back as an option up front and on the wings.

He's done well. He used to play for The Searchers.

We have got so many players on the books that can play his position.
I think the club will be more careful moving forward and not waste money on well stocked positions

I agree. I'd be very surprised if we go for JBL. It's looking more likely to be central midfield where we'll need to bring someone in.

We need another winger like a hole in the head. We need additional depth at centre midfield, and a starter in that position if Berge is going. That is it. The depth in all positions is ridiculous, nowhere moreso than the wings.

I would be over the moon if we sign JBL, he is a guaranteed starter on the right wing.
It's an absolute no brainer for me.

Hopefully this is asked in Parker’s very first pre-match press conference. If it’s something innocent like an injury, or even something of a personal nature (I.e, what Foster suffered with) it would be better to know to an extent so that the lad isn’t getting lynched on here and social media.ArmchairDetective wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 9:31 amMaybe the reason he isn't in training isn't what people are assuming...

It's a weird one. He's not exactly a cheap signing, but no one as far as I can see has asked anyone at the club the question "where is the dude you just spent £13 million on?"

Parker hasn't yet had to speak about his squad/selection availability though with the media has he? It's just been club interviews to promote the season and his appointment etc. Like I say, I would hope the local media/Sky will make this point in the Luton pre-match. According to Transfermarkt, Tresor is our second most expensive signing ever following Zeki Amdouni. I don't think that is accurate, but regardless, he is right up there. It's insane to have such an investment being entirely ignored.

If they don’t and it isn’t agreed then yeh I would guess that we would stop his wages.warksclaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 9:06 amDo we think Tresor is still being paid-no one seems to know where he is-you could ask the same about Weghorst

They know exactly where he is. Foster was an outlier in the extent that his absence was publicised.JarrowClaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 10:26 amNo one on here knows where he is, I would like to think that someone at the Club knows where he is and his absence is agreed. In the Athletic article about BFC accepting that certain key players like Oddobert and Berge will need to be sold, they don't mention Tresor, which suggests he is in the plans.

Exactly there is something going on that we aren’t aware of, nobody in the press have even asked about him that I can see which for a player who hasn’t been seen at all is odd. Almost as if they have been told not to ask let’s see how it plays out, but I can see a compassionate loan back to Belgium towards the end of the window being on the cards.ArmchairDetective wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 10:57 amThey know exactly where he is. I hope he is reintegrated though as I can see him being a big player for us this season if used correctly.

Tressor was VKs vanity project and his chasing Tressor despite Mike being reluctant to come bizarre. When Tressor played he was awful no tackle, no passing ability and a total cba demeanour. We needed steel in midfield not putty

I read some years back that the PFA had negotiated with clubs that players could only be fined a maximum of two weeks wagesJarrowClaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 10:26 amNo one on here knows where he is, I would like to think that someone at the Club knows where he is and his absence is agreed. So, fine him two weeks wages for every week he doesn't turn up
That should solve the problem

Probably about 15 million more than they should pay but I thought he was immense last season and is just the type of striker there missing.

Not sure about the thinking with that one. We're well stocked in central defence unless it's cover for the injuries.

That’s O’Shea off then.
And considering how well stocked we are at CB, can only surmise we’re moving more on and/or Parker isn’t happy with what we have.

Would be an excellent signing and sound replacement for Dara. Egan counts as hg, captained promotion winning squads and adds experience in general. It’s just whether he’s over his injury last season, he missed most of it.

Whose on the injury list at the moment , Bayer , Al Dakill, Ekdal and Delcroix?

O’Shea might still leave but right now we have O’Shea Esteve McNally and Egan Riley who are fit, Egan would make sense if the likes of Beyer, Ekdal and al dakhil aren’t near fitness

We should be all over him as a priority. Solid consistent and a massive goal threat who'd pretty much guarantee us at a minimum 10 goals. At the moment I'm not sure we have his type as a wide option, he'd actually be much more important for us than Odobert.CatonClaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 7:36 amHaven’t seen his name mentioned in a while now but does anyone know anything about JBL potentially returning?
