Just the opposite because online sales were available 16 hours before they went on sale at the ticket office. They've only gone off sale because of there being very few tickets remaining.IAmAClaret wrote:Seems if you live in Burnley or the local area, regardless of loyalty points, you have more priority than those who don't.
I know you like to criticise the ticketing at every opportunity but I think we've done really well on this given the tickets didn't arrive until Tuesday afternoon.
As has been said, there has been plenty opportunity to buy tickets online.

Honestly some people were blasé about this because doom mongers were saying partly because of the Bus in policy that we'd only sell a couple of thousand. Once the Sold out went on line they are suddenly desperate.ClaretTony wrote:Just the opposite because online sales were available 16 hours before they went on sale at the ticket office. I feel for the general salers who fancied it but not for the indignant season ticket holders who are in delayed reaction desperation outrage.
Shame we can't have the other 2000.

Just to clear it up, I don't really care, I've got my ticket. I'm just pointing out a 'system' that is flawed.
It's very simple. At this point :
- those with a season ticket, who cannot get down to the ticket office (IE. They don't live local), can not get a ticket.
- those with a season ticket, who can get down to the ticket office (IE. They live local), can get a ticket.
Therefore, those who live local are the priority, at this point.
That is not difficult to understand.

But you don't HAVE to go to the ticket office to order your ticket (although admittedly you do have to collect it), it can be done online and was even available prior to them going on sale for those who did want to go to the office.IAmAClaret wrote:Just to clear it up, I don't really care, I've got my ticket. I'm not sure what else the club could do in this situation
Re: 2017/18: Blackburn Rovers v Burnley – Ticket Information
The key phrase being "at this point". Another way of viewing it is that those with a season ticket had adepquate opportunity to buy on-line but with the tickets almost sold out "at this point" the club has taken the decision to ensure that those people queueing up in person will not be disappointed. Is it a flawed system?IAmAClaret wrote:Just to clear it up, I don't really care, I've got my ticket. I'm just pointing out a 'system' that is flawed.

I live in South Yorkshire, so I can't get to the ticket office easily. But I don't mind that for a couple of reasons. I know people in Burnley, so it's not too hard to arrange stuff with a phone call. And it's Burnley FC, so if people in Burnley have a slight advantage in getting a ticket on the very rare occasion that they're scarce then fair do's.IAmAClaret wrote:Just to clear it up, I don't really care, I've got my ticket. No chance at all. The Darwen End is reduced in any case with seats at front and wings blocked off.

For any Clarets living out of the area it might be worth ringing Blackburn to see if they're offering the hospitality package again. You get to drive there instead of the buses, have a pre match meal and seats in the Burnley end if it's the same.

I kinda understand it then... You were unsure if you wanted to go, but now want to? However have to go to the club as they are no longer online? Fair enough, though there WAS the option for online. I feel for Gosforth Claret, Rick Muller and all those without season tickets who wanted to go. There are maby reasons people dont have season tickets now a days.

Re: 2017/18: Blackburn Rovers v Burnley – Ticket Information
My only criticism of the ticket procedure, and it's an old argument, is that surely at some point yesterday the club could have announced how many had been sold to make people aware that they were selling very quickly. Those without tickets could then have made arrangements to buy today instead of being hit with the announcement this morning and been caught at work etc.
Just fifty tickets remain.

Re: 2017/18: Blackburn Rovers v Burnley – Ticket Information
The online system should have been more clear from the club. The official advice is to email the club and they will send your password to you if you have never logged in before. However i emailed when the ticket details were fist announced and haven't had a reply yet so i would have been screwed.
If you need to login online your account is your clarets number and your password is your postcode at the registered address.
The default password used to be turfmoor so you can try that if postcode doesn't however they changed it after i highlighted anyone could guess a clarets number and login easily.
If they had tweeted this information above more ST holders could have bought tickets online i reckon.

all gone apparantly. Didnt expect anything less.
General sale on Monday was always going to be a no-go. Plenty of seats in their end though, if you can get a rovers postcode/relative to get you one

5,000 Burnley fans have got tickets. There's really no need to change the arrangements to take the tickets off some of those fans, in order to give them to people who weren't so bothered about going.burnmark wrote:My only criticism of the ticket procedure, and it's an old argument, is that surely at some point yesterday the club could have announced how many had been sold to make people aware that they were selling very quickly.
