I’m not keen. The sleeves look daft and should match the front of the shirt.

Really don’t like it, love the shorts and socks the top is awful, lets see in flesh. A white one with claret and blue flecks may be interesting as an away design

Re: New Kit
No mention of price yet. We have been one of the country’s cheapest in price over the years. Was the last priced at £45 for an adult? Not many sell them at that price these days. Interested to see if there’s an extra fiver stuck on to make the magic fifty.
Re: New Kit
The home kit is just awful in my opinion, looks like those shell suit designs that were popular with the low life back in the day.

The pattern at the top reminds me a little of the yellow shirt we had in 1991-92

Not the biggest fan of that home top. It would would have looked better with the white collar and beading for a start if they were going for throwback

It would be improved if the diagram showed a big inland lake where that Blackburn place is at the moment.

That keeper kit would’ve been great if they’d carried the pattern through. Not sure why they stopped it!

Re: New Kit
Have reserved judgement until seeing it properly. I’d say I preferred the leaked pictures actually but agree about the collar, beading and also think patterned arms like the original would’ve been better.
Don’t really like it with the white shorts. Think the images shown with blue shorts/claret socks look better with this kit.

Good to see they've moved away from a gambling sponsor when they've had the first real chance

Couldn't tell you, but there is a growing desire among football fans to move away from the over reliance on gambling firms for sponsorships.
This is a positive step by the club

Re: New Kit
Desire amongst some football fans would be more accurate. Gambling is a legitimate leisure activity. Hopefully there's no fast food, beer, stocks and shares sponsors for starters if we're going for this moral crusade. And a look at the behaviour of participants in the ground and on the pitch to check for their moral compass as well.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 12:27 pmCouldn't tell you, but there is a growing desire among football fans to move away from the over reliance on gambling firms for sponsorships.

Club likely to have reduced sponsorship income, conservatively, by over 50%. Another player to be sold, and replaced with a cheaper version.

Prevalence of Drinking: According to the 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 85.6 percent of people ages 18 and older reported that they drank alcohol at some point in their lifetime,1 69.5 percent reported that they drank in the past year,2 and 54.9 percent (59.1 percent of men in this age group and 51.0 percent of women in this age group3) reported that they drank in the past month.3GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 1:58 pm20% and rising of the population don't drink at all, especially among younger people.
Shockingly just 4% of drinkers account for 30% of alcohol consumed.
Non drinking % excluding northern Ireland in the UK largeley flat....

Drinking at some point is different to not drinking anymore.dandeclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 2:12 pmPrevalence of Drinking: According to the 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 85.6 percent of people ages 18 and older reported that they drank alcohol at some point in their lifetime,1 69.5 percent reported that they drank in the past year,2 and 54.9 percent (59.1 percent of men in this age group and 51.0 percent of women in this age group3) reported that they drank in the past month.3

I used to drink regularly, but it's very rare over the last 4-5 yrs for me to drink.
I know various people who don't drink at all.

Re: New Kit
Apparently someone thinks Evertons new Away Strip has "Abstract Vaginas" on it
You think our new shirt is **** then get a load of this monstrosity
Re: New Kit
The away top might still be sponsored by a betting firm, if rumours about the away kit having a different sponsor are true.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 12:22 pmGood to see they've moved away from a gambling sponsor when they've had the first real chance
But at least our players won't be running around advertising betting at Turf Moor during our SkyBET Championship games

Re: New Kit
Anyone know when the away kit will be released? I presume we’ll be playing in the new home strip on Friday?

Re: New Kit
Realistically we've got until 22nd October to sort out an away strip when we play Sunderland. Every other team play in white/blue except Watford, yellow. However, don't we need to submit our colours before the season starts?
Re: New Kit
The new home sponsorship is working for me, I’m now slightly addicted to the Classic Shirt website adding all manner of stuff to the basket
Re: New Kit
Club said that we will wear the new home shirt on Friday. I’d guess that maybe the away kit will go on sale on the Luton home game to maximise sales.

They did it with tobacco firms many years ago so hopefully it has the same long term impact. And if you don’t think gambling addiction kills people you should maybe look at the number of people in rehab and the numbers who commit suicide on the back of their gambling addictions.
The fact that we also have issues with fast food / obesity ; alcohol….and to a much lesser extent your stocks and shares tenuous gambling reference are not a reason to not deal with gambling addiction and betting sponsorship. Neither is the point that not everybody who watches or participates in sport have the best moral compass.
If there are moves to ban or restrict alcohol sponsorship in sport then yes that’s another positive move.
And if overall the amount of sponsorship money in sport is reduced then so what ? It’s all relative and again no bad thing to reduce the amount players get paid etc. And lets not pretend that this is the main reason why Burnley FC are faced with selling players and buying cheaper versions.

Shirt on sale tomorrow. I’ll be popping down to get my kids one each.
Has any info on pricing been released yet?

Re: New Kit
Cheers Bosscat. £5 increase which I thought would be the case. Will still be one of the cheapest in the league though. Some prices at other clubs are ridiculous.
