They have, but I also feel this is a bit of a problem with Röhl/the German archetypical 'Gegenpress' style.

They can create chances in quick succession but can also fall to pieces seemingly on a dime. They have sooo many games where they can be 2-0 up and draw or lose... I don't think it's a sustainable style and think it's a bit unprofessional tbh.

I appreciate they look exhausted now from them high press tactic but our style and passing tempo seems have dramatically increased

Yes, it has, but in part because they've run out of steam. Far better game management, imo.

That 2nd goal certainly knocked the stuffing out of them as well. For all the effort in that 1st half, not getting a goal must've been demoralising and once the 2nd went in then it's been game over and easy for us to control, naturally.

I saw an interview with les ferdinand I think it was, and when he was on a bad run, he said exactly that. Stop aiming to finesse it in the corner, head down and just make sure you hit it sweetly on target.

Would never have happened earlier in the game. It's easy when it's 3-0 in the 88th minute - the defending was awful in that play. For someone who's hardly played Shelvey would have been completely overrun that 1st half and even worse than the others.
