Brilliant effort by Bell. She looked like she was getting dropped with about 200m left. Another 2 metres and she'd have got silver.

Well done Georgia Bell. At 30yo it was probably her last chance of Olympic success.

I thought Paula was harsh on Laura Muir in commentary, suggesting she could have followed a blistering early pace. She ran a PB. Great interview from Laura too - analysed her performance (I know my physiology - I had to run even paced); gracious in defeat and complimentary of the medalists; and thanked her support team and Lottery funding. Classy in her 5th but Georgia Bell deserves the plaudits tonight!

So the women's 4 x 400m relay is down, yet it doesn't mention Bol for Holland. I assumed she's be in it.

We are going backwards in golds after winning 29, 27 and 22 in the past 3 games. We have been pipped in some by a very small margin and I think we expected more golds from the track cyling. We still have a chance tomorrow with our two girls third and forth in the modern pentathalon, cycling and the girl in the weightlifting. We don't do bad for a small island :) .

First ever medal for GB in the “artistic swimming” after many years of trying.

Gold for China who apparently were dressed up and pretending to be cheetars - my immediate thought was, well if the cap fits

Kate French pulled out of the Pentahalon due to illness. She won gold in Tokyo and had a good chance of retaining it. We still have a chance with Kerenza Bryson in third at the minute.

Water polo gold medal match about to start, Serbia, going for a 3rd successive gold against our biggest rivals Croatia. They will be desperate for a gold for themselves and to stop us winning the 3rd. To say I'm nervous is an understatement.

Just to add I do support team GB, we are not rivals with Serbia in any sports so there's no conflict of interest.

They have done it, very good performance from start to finish, Croatia are despatched and Serbia win Gold again following on from Rio, Tokyo and now Paris. Bloody brilliant. And what is even better is after losing 3 of their group games I put £10 on them to win at 14/1, I'm investing that money in the Clarets home and 3rd shirt. Happy days 😁

I might be looking at an out of date medal table, but we got 65 medals, the same as 2012 in London.
3 years ago we got 64.

Yorkshire 17th in the table ;) ;) finishing just above Kenya ...

"Based on those born in Yorkshire, currently living in Yorkshire or who spent a large part of their sporting journey here in Yorkshire.
So the tally is: four golds, two silvers and nine bronze medals. Cyclists Tom Pidcock and Katy Marchant are Yorkshire's king and queen of the Paris Olympics"
