Been excellent tonight.

Shame we didn’t add a few more second half, but understandable we’d take our foot off the gas.

This fk needs a right footer on it. Where's twine? JJS?

I hate this. This wasn’t a game for seeing out. We’ve played at 75% second half and you can take that into your next match.

We’ve had an intense run pre Xmas till now with some top teams & the derby, with the biggest game of the season coming up next week. Sensible imo but I get it’s frustrating.

I mean we normally score 1 or 0 and see it out so :D

It’ll always be the Tyrone Mears to me.

He mastered putting free kicks 2-3 yards over the bar.

Boring 2nd half. Should have pressed on and got the goal diff to count.

Nonetheless, nice one Clarets. Excellent first half.

Unfortunately Sunderland have Plymouth at home on Saturday.

Plymouth do not have the quality to do us a favour.

Can’t believe some people looking for negatives in a 5-0 away win and a record breaking clean sheet to better the all time goals conceded after 28 games

Lovely game of football, not arsed at all about dropping down a couple of gears for the second half. It's not Roy of the Rovers. Big few weeks coming up and we want everyone fit, available and squad players to have had a few touches in competitive games.

Big midwit energy about the lads thinking they're doing something with the 'herp derp thort we werent good at scoring lol' when weve just pumped the leagues basket case (24th) but encouraging signs nonetheless. Great effort and safe journey home to those travelling clarets.

No negatives. Inevitable second half. Record defence after 28 games. We have 18 games left and can afford 8 goals conceded to be the best English defence of all time.

Not the most important thing, but it almost guarantees plenty of wins.

I know the game was over second half, but when we went Sarmiento, Jay and Koleosho you realise how good the first starting three front men were. WE need to play Foster/Flemming/ Anthony regularly-together we are very direct with them in moving forwards. Since Foster has come back in wide left, the forwards are giving the opposition defenders something to think about.

That was a good interview from Parker after the game and some thoughtful questions put to him by Prutton.

Great performance and result, more than I dared hope for pre-match. That should give the lads bags of confidence heading into the big game on Monday.

That was literally 4 points as it does wonders for our goal difference where Leeds have the equivalent of an extra point over everyone

Could this be our Brentford away moment for 2024/25

In that game we gave one of the best first halves I've ever seen from a Burnley team at this level. 3-0 up at half time and coasting, I was pretty sure we'd win the league after that.

Oh and on that day Tarkowski wasn't in the Brentford 11 as he was rumoured to be signing for us ;)

Just great to see 5,6,7 players refusing their box in the 1st half.
We did exactly the same at Luton and v Cardiff scoring goals for fun.
Why oh why has it taken soooo long since then to push the midfield forward more.
Great football touches as well....we are definitely getting there.
Well done Scotty P.
