Next manager
Re: Next manager
J Mullen and J Adamson didnt do too badly did they? And we have no idea how those assistants would have performed as we didnt appoint them, but if as stated CB has continuing MH problems and cannot work full time then be unwise to appoint.
However I cant get my head around the appointment of an assistant coach in the absence of the top man who would want his own assistant or maybe has agreed to come and wanted said assistant. Bit of a bummer if the top man then changes his mind.

Re: Next manager
Bellamy has no experience of Management, some players may well like him but those players might not be here that long. We need an experienced person at the Helm with fresh ideas if we’re looking to come back.
Re: Next manager
Sort of sums up this board when some posters know that there are players who want Bellamy and other posters know there are players that don’t want him.

Too many on here who know not; and know not that they know not.
I think the ones who know and know that they know are not regular posters on here
I, for one, am someone who knows not and knows that I know not.
But where the **** are the ones who know and know not that they know? They
could spill the beans on here without fear or favour couldn't they?

Re: Next manager
He was nil_d. And assistant Miller followed Brown and then we had assistant Casper who was overlooked for Bond and then I dont think we want to carry on the stream that followed but i will. Assistant Benson, new man Buchan, assistant Cavanagh until cap in had we found our Brian again and his assistant was I think Frank again until he was appointed midseason in 1989.
Was Heath Mullen's assistant?

Re: Next manager
I think Brian followed Potts' second spell as Harry took over from Brown if I recall events correctly but I maybe wrong there.

Re: Next manager
True. But these aren't mutually exclusive. In fact it's perhaps very probable that some players want Bellamy and some players don't want Bellamy. It's down to us as individuals to take info from the 'in the know' crowd with a pinch of salt.

Not the best leaking of info if true
Means whoever is appointed could have a chairman or Board members who dont want him. Such feelings should stay within the Board Room IMO

So we are saying this deal was done pre-Kompany leaving, and now we can't get out of it, and the new manager might not even want him?randomclaret2 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 1:25 pmNixon saying the new Danish coach was lined up by the club some weeks ago whilst VK was still in charge , as a replacement for Bellamy.

Re: Next manager
Head Coach wanted but you can’t bring your own Assistant Coach as we’ve appointed one for you. Might put a few applicants off.
I’d assumed he’d been selected by the new manager/ Head Coach and the board already knew who that was, we just couldn’t announce it it finalise it yet.

Bellamy, MJ, and the new assistant appears to be the most likely combination at this point.

1) No one has any idea what is going on
2) The new assistant probably knows who the Manager or Head Coach is
3) The Manager or New Head Coach is happy with that appointment
(4) The new manager could be Frank Lampard who is a pundit and it won’t be announced until Euros is over
5) This post may be total nonsense

Re: Next manager
He did. His first game was at Loftus Road with Billy O'Rourke in goal. We lost 7-0 - televised too - and at some point in the game there was a loud bang. I thought Miller had shot himself!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nDbJ52RJUw
Casper followed Miller after Brian was sacked on the day we were to play at Spurs in the League Cup. We won 4-1!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbjur2XFvWc
Casper was rightly replaced after an abysmal performance at Palace where we needed a win to stay up and lost 1-0. So we entered the Bond era.
The ups and downs of following a club like Burnley. Don't you just love it!
