I was tempted at 40/1 odds. A hedge bet (I know some can't get their heads around doing this) as I think even 1-1 would have meant we'd have stayed up.

BT spent ages on the Flanagan challenge on Zaha in the area - Poll no pen - pundits pen - Poll arguing wouldn't be given by a video ref either - like him

Lee Dixon commentating on US TV. Commented at one point that Burnley had produced some of the best English right backs of all time! Wouldn't commit to a man of the match, gave it to the whole team.

As entertaining as a performance since.. Palace at turf? The 442 was a great attacking start, Barges and Vokes caused hassle. Ward put in some class balls early doors. Defence was just solid, as per. Tarks slotted in like a regular.

Saw the old 5231 in second half, I thought, here we go same old..and it did just remove the midfield completely but it did frustrate Palace and you can do that at 1 nil up.

That ball to Gray 7 times out of 10 would never have got to him, or when it did he would have fluffed it, but today it all just aligned and that second goal was perfect. Icing on the cake.

A true team performance, tactically masterminded and very entertaining. I'm off for a solid glass of booze now, was stood us shouting at the TV for the 2nd half, I might as well have been at Selhurst Patk

Yes thanks. Bought another tickey, as they were unable to confirm with Burnley. They say refund on Tuesda, so all good.

I spoke with a Palace fan on the train back into London. He congratulated Clarets on a fine win. He then told me that he'd had £20 at 4-1 on Burnley win. So he was also hedged - and a bit happier because of it.
