not as good as Snodgrass but works harder than Snodgrass so would seem more logical for Dyche. Hope Hendrick is on his case !

That's just as bad as looking at the live table when we're winning, mid-game.

Not really.. it has cleverly in that lineup and he went yesterday to Watford for a medical.
I don't think we were ever in contact consideration for him.

If that figure is correct, which is an astonishing amount for us, I would take it that the player and agent have been spoken to and other details have been agreed, as it is such a huge figure. Ever the optimist, but let's get this sorted BFC

Re: Robbie brady
Surprised our bid/interest hasn't generated more excitement on here:
1) he's very much a Dyche player;
2) he has enough of a right foot to keep defenders guessing (got that from the obligatory yt highlights vid - link attached); and
3) Norwich are going to sell - no wild goose chase here, more a scramble.
Come on Burnley, let's do it!

It's because of the lowball bid, it not being 1 minute past the transfer window opening and him having the same surname as a child serial killer.

Re: Robbie brady
I think there is a great chance to sign him. He is really good mates with Hendrick they played schoolboy football together. He knows he will have a great chance of playing week in week out at Burnley which may not be the case elsewhere. Also the number of points onboard will encourage players to come as there is a very good chance of staying up. Hopefully it goes through as I think it would be a perfect fit for both parties.

Re: Robbie brady
I think it's mainly because other clubs have been mentioned in wanting him, who are 'bigger' than us and will offer him bigger wages. And we all know that 95% of footballers go for money, not for football.Duffer_ wrote:Surprised our bid/interest hasn't generated more excitement on here:
Re: Robbie brady
Whoever he signs for, he'll be getting paid as much in a week as most people earn in a year so if he's not too greedy and values playing every week I think we have a good chance of getting him.
Hendrick and Ward being here and settled might just make the difference.

Re: Robbie brady
If the link with brady turns out to be true . Nowrich will want to add new players to there own team and need to sell to balance the books . Cant see this transfer drsgging out till the end of the window . They will have there own targets like every team and the money they get from the sale of brady will most probably generate there own buisness deals . Were ever he goes i should imagine it will be done and dusted with in the next week . Hopefully to burnley
Re: Robbie brady
Sign him on and send a couple the other way back Norwich - kightly and Ronnie Jepson plus £250k cash up front should seal the deal
Welcome to Burnley Robbie !

Re: Robbie brady
Looks like the main competition will be Leicester who will of course offer him greater wages than we can. Plus he'd be signing for the Prem champions. Can't see this happening but would love it to, he'd be absolutely ideal.
Re: Robbie brady
Apparently Leicester are in for him as well. Hmmm

Re: Robbie brady
Leicester have better players like Demari Gray and Albrighton don't they, along with Mahrez (when he's up for it).

Seems like a dyche signing.

I've read on sky that Ranieri says he's only got room for two left-sided players in his squad (Fuchs and Chilwell) hence letting Schlupp leave.
There's not a huge difference between Schlupp and Brady.

Re: Robbie brady
I'd say there's a rather big difference between Brady and Schlupp.
Brady is far better technically and far less pacy. Schlupp relies entirely on his physical attributes and has very poor end product.
Only similarities really are that they are left footed and can operate up and down that side with a good worth ethic.

Comfortably the worst highlights video I think I've seen on here.
Doesn't put me off though. I still think he'd be a good addition to our squad.

Re: Robbie brady
Current story is us and Lesta have bid around £10m for him.
Apparently Schlupp is having a medical t Palace today so surely rules them out.
Hoping the Ireland connection sees this one through but not 100% sure Leicester would be in for him anyway, how many British adn Irish players has Ranieri signed for Leicester?

Re: Robbie brady
Unfortunately I think he still has a one game suspension to serve before he would be available for us. Probably means he will serve that whilst with Norwich and then move.
I'd love it if we brought him round at half time Tommorrow.
