sad to say, but america is a country virtually full of people who have no grasp whatsoever of global events.
Being insular allows their ignorance to feel ok.
I understand uk citizens are similarly docile and detached, but nothing like the scale of the United States.
Trump is the man for all seasons when the populace is so numb. Quite frightening how millions of adults can be so simple minded.
Glad I'm not from Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Iran, Yemen, or Libya

I am not questioning his `Britishness` just questioning if his well published fears are well founded or not.nil_desperandum wrote:Farah is very much "British" - even though he happens to have been born in Somalia. His father was born in London and his grandfather was born in the British protectorate of Somaliland.
Farah was brought up, educated and trained in north London. His ambition as a child / youth was to play for Arsenal!!
He only moved to the USA (Oregon) in 2014, and I don't think his "Britishness" is in any doubt, unless you are questioning the "Britishness" of several posters on this thread who happen to be living and / or working in the states at present.
If he has a British passport he will have no problem entering the USA. If he travels using a Somalian passport then he will have problems for the next 90 days.

Not sure why you thought my post was aimed at you, since I directly quoted Basil in my post, who clearly did question his Britishness. Anyway apologies if I didn't make it clear, though the current situation regarding dual-nationals is hardly clear, and there are no guarantees that things won't change on a daily basis.FCBurnley wrote:I am not questioning his `Britishness` just questioning if his well published fears are well founded or not.

Well said that man.
What the world needs now is more people patronizing Trump voters and people who feel they're losing out. The stupid, ignorant, simple-minded simpletons who make up the greatest country the world has ever known.
How can so many of them be so stupid?
Ignorant?
Dumb?
Retarded.
