Any evidence of that? If he did, he should have been booked.

Ashley Barnes was not booked in the Palace game.

You can either take my word for it that he and the other players ended up with the crowd in JML or you can find the evidence that you require yourself. I can remember it as clear as day because it was my favourite moment this season.
Here you go:

How many of our players should have been booked? None, Barnes or all of them?

If that were the case, it shouldn't be that hard to find a link to prove it.quoonbeatz wrote:The rule is the excessive celebration one and the interpretation given to referees, which players and managers are also made aware of, is that running into the crowd will result in a yellow card.
It also doesn't make sense that it isn't included on the list of actions which a player must be cautioned for as listed above.

Re: Should Niang have been sent off?
As i recall, and that video i'd inconclusive, Barnes didn't climb onto the stand to seek out the crowd. The crowd came to him. Thats a pretty key distinction. I might be wrong, and certainly if i am then it should have been a yellow for Barnes, yes, but i think that is your answer.taio wrote:You can either take my word for it that he and the other players ended up with the crowd in JML or you can find the evidence that you require yourself. I think all celebrating is excessive, you should just run back and get on with the game.
Bloody show ponies the lot of them.
Ward should of rolled around on the floor with his hands up and arched his back several times, just like there player. Particularly liked it how he took him out then just ran off, not bothering to see how the player was, classy.

If thay photo is of the same incident, then looks like i was right - clearly not in the crowd, just that crowd members have come to the players.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Send him down
Paul - there's a difference between what the rules expressly say and what the clubs and players are clearly told in briefings will be the interpretation.

In answer to the op
I thought that Niang challenge on Ward early on was a boardeline red and the Cathcart one late on on Brady was every bit as bad as the Hendrick one and he should have been sent off
