Burnley vSpurs on Uncles tv.he was richer than us.
Hitched to Wembley for Everton v WBA with two Evertonians who sadly both died before Evertons School of Science got going. We had no tickets in that fine Scouse tradition and bribed our way in offering £5 to turnsile operators till we got in
An easy Everton win was expected but Astle headed the winner and we all know where that led to in today's pc world!

1953 Matthews final, Blackpool v Bolton on my auntie Polly's TV.

My first one too. I rode my bike to Todmorden to watch it on a friend's aunt's TV (could she have been auntie Polly ??) Fell off my bike on the way home and wrecked my knee - still got the scar!

Never seen an FA cup final live but here's hoping....first for me was Man Utd 3 v Leicester 1, the year after our last appearance.

Leeds v Chelsea 1970 on TV. I watched the replay too. I remember wanting Chelsea to win, though I don't know why as I was only 7. Later that summer I watched the World Cup which cemented my love of football, even though neither my mum or dad ever showed much interest in football.

The only live FA Cup final I've seen was Man Utd v Everton in 1985. The place was packed due to at least 2 turnstiles letting people in for cash. I was stewarding in the days before companies got involved and was stood in line with Whiteside and the goal, so watched the ball bend into the corner around Southall's dive.

Manchester City v Leicester 1969 (on TV). I was seven. The late Neil Young scored. Andy Lochhead up front for Leicester. David Nish youngest FA Cup Final captain ever.
