Quite a few fans are saying performance's against teams such as Lincoln were commonplace years ago, well yes they were, but they weren't embarrassing, it was the norm.
Yesterday's performance was a total embarrassment, a premiere league side against a non league side, it was reported throughout the whole footballing world and will be repeated every year for the next 20 years or so.
There are defining moments / games for many people within the game, an example is Beckham getting sent off for England, Wenger writing his P45 last week against Bayern, Keegan exploding when managing Newcastle etc.
In 10 years or so when his time at Burnley has gone, unfortunately, SD will be remembered for this cup tie not his football.
Vote for your man of the match against Lincoln

Not 2 promotions in 3 years?
Not winning the championship amongst much bigger wealthier clubs?
Not 23 games undefeated?
Not being undefeated against Blackburn?
Not winning against Blackburn for the first time in 35 years?
Not beating them 3 years running?
Not making us one of the most profitable clubs in europe?
Not for allowing us to develop a brand new state of the art training facility?
Not for doing all this from scratch on a shoe string and growing the club organically?
Not for producing our two first current England internationals in decades?
Not for breaking countless records and hoodoos?
Not for probably keeping us in the premier league?
Not for building the club to allow us to break our transfer record in a season three times and four in a year?
Not after starting all this after losing his best striker in his first season and having to replace him in house?
Aye ok then

My reply has disappeared. So in short. I completely agree.South West Claret. wrote:Darikwa played a blinder apart from getting over confident a few times, think it's the best I've seen him play.
He put over one superb floated cross on one occasion to my surprise, well done lad keep it up.

Flanagan got 7/10 in one National Newspaper which is unbelievable as he was the most dire of all of our players IMO.
Darikwa for me was without doubt our best player

That paper reporter didn't attend the game and has made it up. Or it's a typo and he has missed the minus before the 7.

Anyone who claims Darikwa was anywhere near being one of the 6 or 7 worst players representing our great club yesterday, are clearly watching a different game to me, turned up drunk, are registered blind, on a wind up or combination of any previous options.
WOW !!!!!!

WOW !!!!!!

Darikwa played well. Tarkowski and Keane werent bad. The defence played well enough Flanagan aside. They had few if any chances after the early one and the goal. Heaton didnt have one save to make. Their first shot on goal was in the 89th minute winner.
Darikwas problem like Lowtons was that he came after our best right back in 30 years.
