Re: Storm Doris
If the weather was like this it'd deserve a name, nothing but a bit of wind in actuality.

Re: Storm Doris
Took me worse part of 8 hours to get from london to birmingham. All railways affected so in their wisdom they close most of the m40 off to stick a few cones out. Chaos.

Just got in. Preston was a nightmare. 4 platforms closed out of six. Hell of a day.

Re: Storm Doris
That wisdom spread to the M1 at Nottingham. 3 out of 4 lanes of the "Smart" section between J26 and J25 South were closed for "traffic management." The "smart" motorway ends at J25 South. Absolutely pointless as it went back to 4 lanes instantly. Organised chaos.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Took me worse part of 8 hours to get from london to birmingham. These smart motorways are my biggest pet hate. A whole new thread on its own though.ClaretEngineer wrote:That wisdom spread to the M1 at Nottingham. 3 out of 4 lanes of the "Smart" section between J26 and J25 South were closed for "traffic management."
