Hopefully for obvious reasons as if we did lose to Stoke then it'd be 2 points
from our last 8 games and if Hull and Swansea win their next games which is more than likely
as they are both at home to Boro' then they'd be just two points behind us.
Swansea would have a game in hand too.

We don't look as if we can win a game at present so a win against Stoke would give us
some confidence back and set us up for the remaining games as well as keep us 5 points clear.
We looked like we could win at Sunderland; and at 2-1 up we looked like we could win at Swansea; we looked like we could win at Liverpool. OK, you're right to say that we didn't look that much like winning against Spurs and Chelsea, though I'm not sure that inability to beat Spurs and Chelsea really equates to being unable to beat anybody. The league table does suggest that Spurs and Chelsea are better than the other teams - that's why they've got the most points.

I hope and pray that for the rest of the season, we play some home games against teams that aren't Spurs and Chelsea, and that we have a more even bias between home and away games. My diary tells me that we may have a chance of that coming true. If (fingers crossed) it does come true, then perhaps the last 7 games won't be a fair estimate of our points from the next 8. Here's hoping!

Reality check, guys.

Played 30, points 32.

What did we say at the beginning of the season: 40 points is safe, average just over 1 point per game.

I've checked: played 30 and 32 points. 8 games left, 8 points required to reach 40 points (24 available).

Anyone on here who wanted/expected more?

I still haven't seen a sign we are going down.

We haven't buggered up at home to anyone average recently.
We avoided losing the two away games to Hull and Sunderland (almost Swansea too).
We are still causing all the top sides problems, less so today admittedly.
We have few bad injuries.

Yes, we may do a Norwich, but there aren't any signs of it yet.

I don't think we do omens.

Spurs hadn't won at Turf in Premier League before today. Their last victory was 1976 (I think I was there).
