Who will remain and what will be required?
Re: Who will remain and what will be required?
Heaton
Lowton New Mee Ward I think tarks is left footed and dyche will never play 2 left footed centre halves Lowton ans ward are fine
New New New Brady Winger with pace needed Defour Barton will go, Marney wont be the same need an upgrade on Hendrick
New Barnes Gray will go due to the contract Vokes not good enough to start Agyei may get a head of him
Bench
Pope Tarks Vokes Hendrick Boyd (New contract dependent) Westwood Ginnley
Obviously all depending on formation played.
Id go all out to get Jermaine Defoe for a season

Tarkowski (he's right footed anyway) and Hendrick will both start next season I reckon. I also reckon we'd have no chance of getting Defoe.Rightfoot wrote:Heaton

look to the bottom 4 at present and pick best from there
I like Gaston R, also think Negrado could do be an improvement up front

they will be looking to offload as they drop a division, no idea what is in their contracts, they will also want to move, plus we will have a second season in the PL, so who knows what our new pay scale will look like. However I agree some will be out of our range and Newcastle/Brighton will want new players also, will be another summer of seeing how our transfer team works out
But to definitively answer your question, NO lol

Re: Who will remain and what will be required?
Pope + NEW No.1 keeper (Heaton would be mad not to take the opportunity to make a move to one of the Merseyside clubs)
Lowton
Tarkowski + new back-up centre-half
Mee
Ward + New back-up left-back
Gudmundsson (has been a BIG miss in the away games)
Hendrick
Westwood
Brady + 2 new central midfielders and a new Boyd
Vokes
Barnes
Aygei + 1 new starting striker (don`t think Gray will be here...will move to someone who plays more to his strengths...a West Ham maybe)
= 7 new signings inc. 3 or 4 for the starting 11.

Re: Who will remain and what will be required?
2 far better strikers, at least 1 winger with pace and quality, a quality midfielder to replace Defour and no doubt a defender to get in line behind Tarks

I'll recommend Nicolas Pépé of Angers in France, 21 year old quick and skillful winger

Re: Who will remain and what will be required?
Not too sure why we'd be replacing Defour. In an ideal world we'd give him a proper pre season to get him fully fit, and then see the best of him next season. He's got lots to offer us and he'd not be the first player to have a far better season in England than a first.
Unless Barton is leaving, we've no need to sign a central midfielder this summer - if a fantastic opportunity to upgrade comes we might take it but we've got plenty of depth, and quality, in that department, and Defour, Hendrick and Westwood will all be much the better for a pre season. The priorities for our limited resources are elsewhere.

In a perfect world I wouldn't replace Defour but he carries too many injuries, and as you stated our pot is small in relation to others so we need players who can contribute more often than not. Barton will no doubt get a career ending ban at the end of the season.

Let's see whether Defour fares better after a pre season in England, rather than on the potentially unrepresentative sample of this season.Vegas Claret wrote:In a perfect world I wouldn't replace Defour but he carries too many injuries, and as you stated our pot is small in relation to others so we need players who can contribute more often than not.
