Everyone agrees it needs sorting.
Plans are being made and discussed.
It's not a quick nor easy fix.
Burnley has a deadline that it is aiming to meet.
The deadline is over a year away.
Shouldn't we be pleased that something is being done that will resolve this sorry state of affairs and hold the arm waving until we see what is delivered?
NO
we should not be pleased until it is sorted, I appreciate people are talking about but the club, to the best of my knowledge, has NOT released any drawings, Philosophy or any fact that shows progress in making it happen and has not made any firm commitment to when it will be resolved. (when I say commitment, I am talking about penalties for not completing on time, over a year away is just sales gook) Talk on these issues are simply not good enough in my opinion, the club and the individual supports are simply incapable of resolving, no matter how many "good ideas" are put forward by well meaning people.
A design firm is needed that understands structural requirements and football grounds, it is not that difficult to pick one, and engage them, this will be the first step that shows they are doing more than talk and be embarrassed. In fact they are able to go to a design competition/brief with numerous companies, through this beauty competition they pay nothing, just put the carrot out there that the best design/price will be awarded the work.
I might tell you how to make an omelets but I will not tell anyone how to weld girders/beams/supports with roofs and I do not want the chairman/board/manager or Tony telling me things are being done, it works while waiting for transfer targets buy not for this, of course all in my opinion as usual.
