Is it just me or does Hartman remind you of Ricky Ponting? Brilliant standard of golf today.

Re: Us open golf
Fleetwood is going very solidly hope there’s a few picked him up at the start – be good to see him go on and win it now seems a very likeable fella. Also Fowler is still right in there and Justin Thomas had a special round yesterday. It's wide open now... I’ve cashed out already for very good profit while I had taken long odds on Harmon, Fleetwood and had also nibbled on Thomas at decent odds on Friday – my position was very strong on Betfair. One of the reasons I cashed is it’s predicted wind today and it can change things a lot. Fleetwood am sure can handle the wind he must have played a lot of Links golf. Fowler also has a good record in the wind. Another factor could the ability to get up and down from missed greens in the wind
I found some stats that show the top 25 golfers who have performed in the wind. I excluded the MC’s and those outside four under and these guys show up
Strokes Gained Performance in the Wind
Considers windy rounds where the avge wind is at least 14 mph for the day. Gusts can be variable obviously so cannot be an exact science.
* Minimum 25 Rounds to Qualify. ** Adjusted to strength of competition. I have excluded the MC’s and those outside four under

Sky have it. Fox Sports is the US coverage. Also a link here that was working for me on Friday - may be just featured groups/holesSouth West Claret. wrote:Is it on satellite because it's not on the Beeb, bt or murdoch please?

Re: Us open golf
Just backed Fleetwood for The Open at 66/1. Must have a chance on his home course. Be interesting to see how he stands up today.

Re: Us open golf
A little pedantic, I know, but I believe his home course is Formby Hall, having perfected his skills at Southport municipal originally. Nevertheless, the logic stands that he should be well suited to the conditions and links golf that Royal Birkdale offers.FCBurnley wrote:Just backed Fleetwood for The Open at 66/1. Re: Us open golf
My pic is fine on my iPhone
Played Formby Hall many times - I play in a Corporate event there every year. Did not realise it was Tommy Fleetwood's course.

Re: Us open golf
Some performance by Koepka, he made a mockery of the USGAs policy of having a winning score of level par.

Re: Us open golf
Tommy stuck at it and kept his head ...a fine performance and certainly he should do well at Birkdale.
