Re: Andrew Robertson betting odds...
Does anyone know the odds for Kylian Mbappe joining Burnley before the end of this transfer window?
I fancy a ton on it to make it some kind of reality.

The only reliable source on here is bfccrazy, I don't understand why people like to pretend they know more than others and make themselves look stupid in the process.

I did laugh at the Mirror's report that he'd prefer to sign for Liverpool.
I'm sure there's dozens of clubs he'd pick over us.

Signing on Monday or any other day, does not include the word Burnley.

I agree but think like Pickfords fee being quoted as 30 million is misleading. Its actually 18 million with lots of extra dependent on success.Vegas Claret wrote:PL 2017 prices, there is no point trying to make any sense of it
Think this is how this would be with Robertson.
For all his faults clubs love to sell to Newcastle as Ashley pays all the fee up front

People who know within our club are part of the inner circle.
Agents arent going to go to Boden and say no theres been no contact. Neither are the selling club. They want to start a bidding war so would leak the opposite. Yes local hacks all know each other and share info but like Boden few clubs nowadays have links with local rags

Suspect this will run for some time. If we are trying to sign him - and there's every reason to believe we are - the agent could well try to slow things down to make sure he gets the best deal with the biggest possible club.

Re: Andrew Robertson betting odds...
He would be a very nice acquisition and it's one of a few positions I think we need solid competition for. No Ben Mee as cover, but 2 out and out left backs going for the spot.

Yes.
But if he doesn't, it will be some sort of "complication over image rights" and I completely refute the allegation that I'm making this up as I go along.

That would be a fine left side going forward and back with pace and flexibility.

Maybe Dyche sees him as a replacement for Boyd rather than a replacement for Ward? One thing I've noticed with Robertson is he can be very suspect positionally when defending

No framework at Hull you see.
From what I've seen is that he does like to get forward and he puts a very decent ball in to the box.

If there is one thing we can absolutely guarantee, it is that Dyche will improve the positional game of any defender who is at all lacking in that department.Vegas Claret wrote:Maybe Dyche sees him as a replacement for Boyd rather than a replacement for Ward? See Keane, Trippier, Mee and others
Beauty of Robertson is he could play ahead of Ward or behind Brady. Would give us great options and balance down the left flank. And he has good pace, something we know we need to add to our team.

Re: Andrew Robertson betting odds...
I definitely see Robertson as a replacement for Boyd as opposed to Ward.
He is a decent early crosser of a ball which is something we've lacked since England's Keiron Trippier left.
Would be a top quality affordable signing if true.

Re: Andrew Robertson betting odds...
Vegas makes a good point there. Ward, Brady and potentially Robertson can all play left back or wide left. Ward was actually a striker in his early days . So any 2 from those 3 gives us good options on that side.
