We were actually sponsored by the CO-OP but whoever put the letters on the shirts got them the wrong way round.

Poor POCO missed out. They were on our shirts when we had the two cup runs in 82/83 and got lots of tv coverage but we weren't allowed to carry the sponsor on shirts when we were televised.

When they said the reveal was Sunday, I didn't think they meant bloody tea time......

So possibly like the villa shirt below but maybe also a take on the dortmund shirt - imagining as white with claret stripes which are made up of the words clarets

I really like it and don't often get immediately positive about an away shirt.

I do agree with burnmark on the shorts. I'd have actually preferred claret shorts with this shirt and had the white shorts with the home shirt. But I really do like the shirt. I hadn't seen it previously, been told what it was going to be but I had this idea that the claret hoops across would be thicker than they are.

We aren't going to do three kits but, if required, we will use the away kit from the previous season. I hadn't checked on the other home kits but I would therefore assume that, if required, we will wear the blue at Southampton.
