He already said he would ref by his own rules and ignore the book at times which is clearly wrong. That said i see where hes coming from.

Theres no doubt in the current rules its a red. No debate in that sense.

If I had Defours injury record and I knew full well if I as much as touch a Chelsea player with a tackle they would fall over I would be doing more barrel roles than an air show.

Finally we can give teams a taste of their own medicine, finally we are no longer the honest boys who lose out to the cheating premier league prima donnas.

I hate to see any kind of simulation, cheating or anything like that but when you're surrounded by other teams that use it against you every game you have to adopt it too. Great to see that now from our team as before when we were too honest we only lost points because of it.

I mean, Chelsea have Conte an Italian as a manager, a master no doubt in professional cheating given his managerial record, you could tell he found it admirable to see tactics employed by our players to win free kicks, he knows what it's all about.

Oh and I hope Abramovich loved every second of it because if one of the richest men in the world buying a football club and investing millions of his own personal wealth isn't cheating then I don't know what is.

I felt like we grew up in that game and it holds promise for this session imo. Brilliant.

I could see the point that Danny was making, but the exaggerated jump after a tackle is something that every player does these days.

Its not great, but Morata triple salko after Ben Mees challenge was worthy of mention as well.

Pawson was right on the spot. Even with hindsight, foresight and telephoto lenses, it was a red. Defour did nothing wrong and, in fairness to Cahill, he didn't question it (much).

IMHO, Pawson got almost all of the big decisions right on Saturday... the booking of Rüdiger seemed to be a wrong decision.

I was worried that we'd lose Steven Defour with an injury after Cahill's tackle. Defour had already shown in the first 15 minutes that he was "up for the game." Red card was the only decision the ref could make.

Cahill went in with studs showing....I dont think there was any malice but thats how careers are ended....it has to be an automatic red but too many refs bottle it....those that hand out reds get castigated by the fans of team that suffers....the sooner all refs grow a pair the better.....and that includes booking divers and sending off when necessary.

If he reffed by his own rules he would soon be demoted to the lower leagues, if he couldn't see Cahill was a straight red card he is :x
