Well according to our learned friends (?) down the road, our ground is worth around £40, so Dembele would be chicken feed.

I'm relieved he wasn't playing, they conceded four to Fc Astana (who indeed).

Not overly Keane ( sorry ) on Simunovic. But I'd have Sviatchenko in a breath.

Celtic forums read exactly like the Leeds one over Wood. Why on earth would he sign for little old Burnley until it's pointed out we can probably triple his wage.

Why play for a Mickey mouse team playing in a pub league when he can play for the Mighty Clarets in the best league in the world? No brainer

Looking at their forum, they rate him very highly... Obviously take that with a pinch of salt given this is a side playing in a farcical league.
Big questions marks over his fitness though, he was all set to join Torino last summer but he move broke down, allegedly due to a failed medical. Rogers seems to pick and choose when he plays him due to his fitness issues. Not sure we can afford the luxury of having a 10 million pound player that we cannot play every week?

Referee's assumption after seeing the Rangers attacker landing on his head.
"Och its only a broken neck get on with it laddie."
Would have loved to have seen Pederson and Olsson in that league trying their diving antics.

According to my Celtic ST holding friend he was rested at Kilmarnock last week because they play on a plastic pitch and not risked in the CL because Celtic took a big lead into the second leg.
Apparently tweeted his excitement about their CL group - there's nothing to substantiate he's angling for a move and reports he's asked for a transfer are off the mark so I'm told. If we're serious then sounds like we're going to need to come up with a fair bit more than £10M.
I think we will add a CB this week but not convinced Sean feels the need to break the bank and might well look at someone who'll be competition for Tarkowski, but cost a lot less - maybe Ranocchia who appears to be priced at about half what we would have to pay to land Simunovic.

But how does your friend KNOW these were the reasons?

It is fact. Why do you think Tarks was captain on Wednesday ahead of Cork and Arfield?

Because Heaton wasn't starting so he moved up through the 'spine' - Mee wasn't playing.

Probably because dyche wanted to give him some more confidence and show faith in him . Doesnt mean we wont sign another defender

Possibly. But personally, if it's down to confidence, I'd only do that if I wanted to up the morale of the person I originally wanted to replace. To make them feel more wanted and an important part of the side. It's a guessing game, really.

To make him feel part of things, despite being replaced.

It can't possibly be a fact, unless you can see into the future. A prediction or opinion maybe.

How you can get that we aren't signing another centre half because Tarkowski was captain in a league cup game, is baffling. Definitely not "fact", definitely opinion.
I'd be amazed if we didn't bring a centre back in.

We'll sign a centre half, don't worry.
(yes, KRBFC Burnleys biggest worrier said don't worry)

Considering it's Saturday I think he's probably correct in thinking that we won't sign another centre half this week.

I'm pretty sure that Dawson is a no go... with him signing a 3 year extension

I'll happily eat my own words if we do sign another CB this week. Tarks IS first choice this season with Long as back up. If we were to sign a CB it won't be to replace Tarks in the starting line up. Dyche rates Tarks just as much as he rated Keano when he first signed. We have another gem in the making here (hopefully).

We'll probably agree a last minute deal for Simunovic only for him to then fail the medical because of his supposedly dodgy knee.
In all seriousness, I would see a new centre half as a bigger priority than a forward/winger. Yes we lack pace up front but I think we still have enough with what we have got to be productive. Remember Gray was our only real source of pace last year and he spent a good proportion of the season either suspended or as a sub.
It only takes an injury and or a suspension at centre half and we will be looking at moving full backs in there as cover, which isn't ideal, especially at this level.

Maybe Mike Duff will have to come out of retirement
