Re: Fans being asked to leave yesterday
The type of people in charge of these things tend to be very arrogant by nature.
Burnley fans are a soft target but you know your line about putting people in harms way, is so true, if somebody had the energy to take them on they basically did know that a bunch of nutters were coming and what they intended to do and they did as you say put Burnley fans, kids and all, in harms way.
They should be careful who they accuse of what.

"There really are some on here who think that Burnley fans can do no wrong."
Missing the point totally. In fact you couldn't have missed it more if you actually tried.
Its not about Burnley fans its about putting BFC and Hannover fans in a potentially hazardous situation.
Both sets of fans have a hooligan element I am not and never have denied that.
BUT both sets of fans also had decent people including kids and families mixed in their number.
If both sets of fans have a hooligan element (with one section in particular proven that they wish to cause trouble) who in their right mind would put them both in the same stand separated by a large piece of cloth and a skeleton staff.

If you really believe that that level of trouble was predictable at a pre-season friendly then I'd agree with you.billyhamilton82 wrote:"There really are some on here who think that Burnley fans can do no wrong."

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but Hanover had previous 12 months earlier at Norwich, it's not rocket science to assume similar may happen...?

Maybe CFS fans were asked to leave due to their remarkable silence after the first ten mins of most games?

Not according to Norwich City FC they didn't - no problems inside Carrow Road.Braindead wrote:Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but Hanover had previous 12 months earlier at Norwich, it's not rocket science to assume similar may happen...?

They've obviously got a "proper" safety team.

Re: Fans being asked to leave yesterday
The facts on here are that people are being pulled (Rightly or wrongly) for their part in football hooliganism that was wholly instigated by fans of an opposing team - fans that have not and WILL NOT be punished for their actions, and make no mistake there would have been no retaliation had the Hanover fans not acted in the manner they did.
Nobody is suggesting that guilty Burnley fans shouldn't be punished, it's the complete one-sided nature of Lancashire Police's 'investigations' and I use the term loosely, that is annoying people and rightly so imo.

The issue isn't and never was with the police.
Its the safety management of Turf Moor.
Tells its own story when they didn't even have police present.
Obviously a well managed and safety orientated ground...."even for friendlies"

Lol - questioned and then let go back to Germany - how many have been actually CHARGED?fidelcastro wrote:So, none were arrested at the airport, then?
When you bear in mind that stewards and police officers were injured and hospitalised by the Hanover fans' actions then it is an absolute disgrace, because had the boot been on the other foot and the fighting originated in the Burnley end - there would have been arrests galore.

I doubt German Police are sharing their investigation with you.

Do you really, honestly think that German police are giving a monkeys about this situation? How hard is it to scan Burnley's CCTV, get the Hanover police spotters (I am sure these guys are known to the old bill out there) to identify the culprits and then start arresting and then charging them - has this happened? No, do you know why? Because this isn't going to happen.fidelcastro wrote:All this is guess work on your part. That much is obvious.

Eh? How many Burnley fans have been arrested? I would suggest, although I don't know, but I reckon the figure is zero.Braindead wrote:The facts on here are that people are being pulled (Rightly or wrongly) for their part in football hooliganism that was wholly instigated by fans of an opposing team - fans that have not and WILL NOT be punished for their actions, and make no mistake there would have been no retaliation had the Hanover fans not acted in the manner they did.

How many Hannover fans have been arrested? Again I don't know the figures but it was reported that arrests were made.
The club (that's not the police) appear to have decided to have reason to speak with a select group of Burnley supporters over what? We really don't know, unless you can enlighten us? One sided investigation, not sure how that fits in?

I was in Cfs on Saturday. Two lads near us were pulled for verbal abuse of girl serving at outside refreshment stand. They were kicked out and didn't come back. There mate a few rows back kicked off was taken away but came back about 10 mins later. Were on under 18s tickets, bit ****** and were denied more.

I'm getting confused now.... We had fans removed because of the Hannover game... some may have got a talking to for chucking coins then we have abusive fans shouting at a poor girl trying to do her job and then we had a ****** up fan kicking off also for no apparent reason.TomtheClaret wrote:I was in Cfs on Saturday. Sounds like some people need to grow up a little bit and take responsibility for their own actions and not blame the club and police because they are perceived to be easier targets. Life is certainly unfair when you can't act this way on a Saturday afternoon at the football...

Re: Fans being asked to leave yesterday
It has been confirmed to me the Hannover trouble was planned for the 38th minute, I don't know why 38 was so significant for them in their demonstration or whatever.
I presume this info was found out after the event or someone messed up.

Surely our fans should be able to do whatever they like for the rest of the season, following the behaviour of the Hanover fans?
