Wouldn't know but they have some serious players including Simon Kerigan who has played a test match. Money is allowed in the Liverpool Comp it's a fully open league. Monty Panesar is currently playing in the Liverpool Comp.

In the ECB Premier Leagues like the Liverpool Comp I'm fairly sure it's open BUT it all has to be PAYE. I know the Bradford League is. Another etc Lowerhouser plays in that and his money goes into his bank account and he pays tax and NI.

I honestly don't know how these clubs afford it.

It's semi professional football. They all get paid, but probably don't have contracts.

Ben wasn't offered a 2nd year. The club opted for an overseas player.

Matt Walker has had a brilliant season for Read who will be glad they have already signed him up for next year. Looks the best player Lowerhouse have produced in recent times.

We could within the rules of the Lancs League pay Matt Walker. But we don't, does this register?

Before you come on social media posting allegations (utter shite) about a club and something you clearly know nothing about I suggest you read the Lancs League rules.

Lowerhouse within lancs league rules could have paid 9 of the team that started against Burnley today.

And with absolute full respect to the other 2 you wouldn't pay them and not the other 9 !!! We don't pay one of them and we never will pay an amateur to play cricket for us.

Ben is a great player but when you allege he is being paid I suggest you do it without the knowledge that his family have been heavily involved with LHCC since the 70s. His uncle is Chris Bleazard possibly the best ever amateur batsman to play in the Lancs League whose been with the Club through his entire near 40 year career. And trust me there as been far more bad times than good in that 40 years. Ben plays for LHCC for free because it's in his blood end of..,
