Life as we know it can be really sh* t. So sad that this is a journey where you have no options. God bless.

Another gutting piece of news when we heard it this morning. Everywhere I have stood or sat watching Burnley I have heard his voice. My friends and I have normally been sat in a block somewhere in the ground with him and later his Son. He is the most passionate Claret I know, who would defend BFC against anyone-including those who knock our own team.

Looked like he was doing ok last couple of weeks and on the road to recovery.

We have raised a glass to you pal here in Malta

Very Sad
One of the faces I came to recognise on the Turf and surrounding pubs over the years.
Actually first noticed him having a fight in the Prinny, hands of stone.
A few years ago we started sort of half nodding at each other when our paths crossed which developed into saying alright to each other and only in the last couple of years did we share a couple of after match brief chats usually after a good Clarets performance.
Expected to be seeing him for many many more years yet.
RIP Pal

It's one of those things, you don't really know people by name but put a face to someone and you know them. Didn't think I knew Damian until I saw Facebook and recognised him. Like BleedingClaret above, I didn't know him apart from a fellow claret at football who would be celebrating when we scored.

RIP Damian, my thoughts are with your family at this difficult time

Top, top guy, and, as above, the most passionate Claret I've ever met. Won't be the same in CFS. RIP

Horrible illness that sadly still takes most sufferers and at 45 to leave 3 children and a wife that is awful news. May he RIP.

Finding it very hard to put into words my feelings and thoughts in this post. Damo was one of the very best, an absolute joy to be in his company. So many stories. Rest in peace my friend from the Bramwell family.

Just thinking ahead of the game this weekend. Just after he was diagnosed with his illness the first game was Palace away. Which we went on to win 2-0. Damian couldnt attend the game that day. So instead we took the game to him and watched it at the turf courtesy of the club. It was a great day. And was so pleased that he got to see the first away win and with so many people he was close to.

Come to think of it the only away games I watched with him last season are the only ones we didnt lose! Talk about good luck omen.

Its somewhat ironic that this weekends game is Palace again. Lets hope for more of the same for Damian.

Not Damo Whitehead, as far as I know the Damo who has passed away hasn't posted on this or the previous board.
