He's looked fine playing for England so I don't know why people keep saying it's down to Ben MeeFactualFrank wrote:Let's be fair, he's not been good since he moved there. Whether it's because of Ben Mee, or perhaps he's just not as good as people make out, who knows. But he's not showing himself as a central defender who is good enough for a top 6-7 side. What's happened to Andre Gray since he left? Another example of players leaving Burnley and not excelling themselves.
I imagine the list would be pretty long!

Re: Keane
Some of us who've seen a few winters, might recall Alf Ramsey being quizzed on why he picked Jack Charlton alongside Bobby Moore so regularly, as there were " quicker/ better/ sharper etc " alternatives...
" Jack is the best player to pair alongside Robert, to get the best out of our chosen style " ... or words along those lines..

I didn't say it was because of Ben Mee. I just questioned it was a possibility. And he did ok. Not as good as people make out.Roosterbooster wrote:He's looked fine playing for England so I don't know why people keep saying it's down to Ben Mee

Re: Keane
Keane is obviously being affected by the current malaise in the Everton team. However, he got badly turned by Lacazette just as he did with Lukaku when he was playing for us. Lacazette should have scored today and Lulaku did. And he was culpable with two of the Arsenal goals when he just seemed to be marking space as his men ran off him and scored.
Re: Keane
You could put the best defender in the world in Everton's defence and he would look like a clown. You have to trust your partner and know how they play. Keane's partners legs seem to have gone and he is left not knowing whether to do his job or theirs. Poor lad is confused

Re: Keane
John Stones was getting similar at Man City last season but now he is looking a completely different player. The problem at Everton is much bigger than Michael Keane as an individual.
