Heard from someone at the club that he's on his way. Hope he is given a fitting send off at Southampton.
More importantly i can only hope that the board have learned their lesson and don't repeat the Laws fiasco again

If he is on his way, it seems strange that BFS is still the bookies favourite for the job.

Bookies odds are no guideline. He won't go I'm sure of it.if he does he could fall on his sword! That said he's the best thing to happen to Burnley in many many years.utc!

not for me, if he goes I will quickly forget his time here.
Not interested in his personal development, if he chooses to bugger off, then he holds no interest for me. I will hope he falls flat on his face.

Having a quick look at Everton fan's forum, they also seem to think this is a deal nearing completion

If he's going, he should not be allowed anywhere near the team today, imagine if we were to lose today and we get relegated on the last day of the season instead of Everton by a point or on goal difference, every game is a crucial game. Thanks Dyche, but if your going, go now!JohnDearyMe wrote:Heard from someone at the club that he's on his way. Hope he is given a fitting send off at Southampton.

Re: Compensation agreed ??
The first time ever I`ve had a shower and thought of Chris Coleman. STOP IT!!!! IF Dyche is to go, watch all the pundits put forward the ex-bast*rd and/or Ryan Giggs to take over the reins. "A perfect size club for Giggs to start his managerial career at" or "a perfect club with an excellent infrastructure that would fit like a glove for Coleman".

The Evertonians I work with will be underwhelmed if this is true, they feel our fella is below the calibre of appointment required.

Re: Compensation agreed ??
Chief football writer for the Mirror, John Cross has just been on Bein sports and categorically said Burnley have not been approached for Dyche and Everton are negotiating with BFS over his contract length. He wants a 2 and a half year deal but they wanted something shorter. He mentioned that BFS had told Palace he wouldn’t take another job for 2 years after he left but I don’t think it was anything more than a verbal agreement
Not sure how “in the know” this journo is.

4 posters who have inside knowledge of the club and given decent info in the past have all come out and said the same thing of nothing happening at the moment, and people are still getting their knickers in a twist.
Re: Compensation agreed ??
Calm down everyone SD had a dodgy paella on an all inclusive and just agreed a no win no fee compensation of £350 plus a week in Benidorm.
Re: Compensation agreed ??
That sounds similar to what I've heard. If they choose BFS, they only want to give it to him on a short term basis (18 months max). BFS also wants to bring 15 staff with him, including Sammy Lee which won't be popular with the Blues for obvious reasons.Melbourneclaret wrote:Chief football writer for the Mirror, John Cross has just been on Bein sports and categorically said Burnley have not been approached for Dyche and Everton are negotiating with BFS over his contract length. We know we are a stepping stone IF the manager is successful.
Dyche has been successful.

IF Everton offer him the job and IF Dyche wants it - my feeling is he probably would which is understandable - it would be mainly down to ambition and career progression, and I would be thankful for the huge part he has played in transforming the club.joey13 wrote:If Everton can’t agree terms with Allardyce then he’s gone, face facts we are just a stepping stone and Dyche not much Different to the lying Jock

Not sure how anyone can hate/be annoyed with SD if he takes this job.
We are a stepping stone for players and managers, if thats a shock to you I don't know what club you have been following over the last three decades.
Dyche has done his time here, if he leaves Burnley for Everton with us in a relatively comfortable Premier League position with a decent squad in 7th place, what more can you say than "thanks for everything, and good luck".
Lets get it done, it seems pretty inevitable to me. I don't want to break our type so would be making the call to Gary Rowett's agent tomorrow. No Pardew's please.

I could be completely wrong but I’d think it more likely in the summer (so a short term deal may be an option for Everton, in the meantime).
I’d also think that Dyche would be after some assurances of the control that he can have and the time that he will be given to start a new project.
Whenever he goes, there shouldn’t be a Burnley fan around that doesn’t thank him for everything he has done for the club and wish him well for the future.

You never know, Dyche might be a stepping stone for us, too. Someone who has got us up, kept us up, and would leave us in a very decent position, allowing someone new to come in and take the batton.

Its not the move its the timing. Also the Burnley curse falls on managers who leave us in the lurch, dont want that to happen to SD.

Boden said recently there is a gentlemans agreement in the PL between clubs to not poach a manager during the season.mybloodisclaret wrote:"gentlemen's agreement? Do tell."
Apparently it's been in place since Bolton poached Coyle.
Thinking about it, Coyle was the last manager to switch PL during a season.
