What about the one with a pilot holding up a Burnley shirt in the window of a plane - does anybody remember that?

Yeah I think that's the one cbx750. Is that photoshopped or was it actuallly taken?

I doubt that is photoshop either. However I have to admire Ambrose's technical virtuosity. The way he's altered that photo of Northern Iraq, is pretty impressive...

It's photoshopped (post 52). If you look very closely, you can see the slight disjoin where "PARCEL" has been clipped out and replaced by "ROYAL AIR".FactualFrank wrote:Yeah I think that's the one cbx750. Is that photoshopped or was it actuallly taken?

WTF! these photos emanate from a few years back. The Red Arrows flew over Burnley, re-routed to do so, by the way, en-route to an airshow, with the aforementioned one of our own in the back seat taking the photos. He then posted them on the board.
Quite insulting to him to suggest photoshopped

... Not so much an insult as merely an inability to judge perspective accurately in images, perhaps? Not all folk can draw in perspective, it sorts the men out from the boys in art, unless you're me because I could do it at junior school. Some would argue it's a compliment along the lines of 'Can't be real, can it?'

Re: Photo of Red Arrow plane with the Turf in the distance
Good afternoon all,
I can confirm the all of the photo's are genuine, because I took them.
The ones over Turf Moor were done en route back to Scampton, our home base at the time, from the Blackpool Airshow, we flew over my fathers house in Accrington shortly before I took the pictures.
The one with the claret shirt in the cockpit, was taken en route to Cyprus for winter training.
Tony I still have that shirt from the Aircraft, think it was worn once, if you would like it for the Youth Foundation to perhaps raffle off, let me know and i will get it posted over to you.
Photo's are free for anyone to use by the way, the quality isn't great but not bad for an iphone!

Isn't Scampton still home for the Reds?Clarettarge wrote:Good afternoon all,
