How about Burnley fans stop dropping litter in the streetBfc wrote:Re the litter around the Park View, if it's not already a Council condition for the pub and the burger van to keep the area litter free, then the Council should hold them responsible for not having enough bins for people to place rubbish in. Or they should both employ someone to empty and replace the full bins bags and keep the area tidy. McDonalds were made to do it, why not these, before the litter wardens swoop on the area and issue supporters with on the spot fines. Litter was always a problem on match days before drinking from plastic cups outside pubs and food trays. After matches the Council roadsweepers used to tidy Brunshaw Rd up on Sunday mornings, but with cost cutting things have changed. But then why should they be responsible for the pub and burger vans rubbish, which is like fly tipping to me.

Re: The Park View
Punch Taverns, you say? Enough said!
Re: The Park View
A lot of litter is being dropped around the Park View, because the burger stand bins are so full, they won't hold anymore. So people are putting trays at the side of the bins, expecting it to picked up by the burger van workers, when they empty the bin. That's if they bother to.

Re: The Park View
As a few have mentioned further up the thread, might be a good investment for the club
if they got it at the right price, of course.
Might be a good earner, properly run.

Re: The Park View
The thing is, it's probably peanuts compared to the sort of money we're bringing in now and not worth bothering with.
Re: The Park View
The current Brewery owner did recently, seriously consider making a substantial investment to turn it into a sports bar
However, given the location is some way from the town centre, it was thought to be too big a risk especially with little hope of weekday trade making it viable

Re: The Park View
It's not really about the money making, (although there would be some). I think it's a great way for the club to offer an alternative fan zone to the one we have. It's easy to contract the running of the place.
Edit. I was meaning to buy it and only use it for match day or club hospitality too.

Re: The Park View
A shortage of accommodation in Burnley isn't there? Is the site open to some development on those lines to make viable for the club or then a forward looking Brewery, hotel or Pub chain.

Flatten it, build flats for the residents of the houses on Harry Potts Way, then demolish said houses and build a second tier on the Bob Lord stand. job done haha
