Welcome Aaron I am sure you will not regret joining Burnley FC and hope you enjoy your time as a Claret.
My birthday signing was Eric Djemba-Djemba in 2007

Think of the dross we've had to witness on the wings over the years and now we sign a player of Lennon's calibre. Great signing and he'll add a new element to the squad. Good business Burnley.

Dailymail reckon the fee is 1.5 million. In today's market (considering what we allegedly paid for Wells) that has to be the best value signing of the season

Don't know for certain but believe it is even less than that.

good signing; he's got a lot of speed, skill and prem experience. if he's motivated and puts in lots of effort should do really well for us. hope he's not a 'great for the first few games then takes it easy' signing. how many variations of his name will we see on here? welcome to burnley, arran, arron, aaron etc.

On the Everton side it's been rumoured as a "nominal fee". Though what that means in the Premier League, I have no idea - once of a day I would have thought a nominal fee would be about £5,000. A million quid now might be considered nominal, for all I know.

Fantastic news, really happy to hear that Aaron has signed for us. I don't think I've ever seen such an overwhelmingly positive reaction to a transfer before. From all the Everton fans thanking him for his service and sincerely wishing him well to the warm welcome he is receiving from us Burnley fans.

It says a lot about Aarons character and the high regard that everyone has for him. Can't wait to see him out on the pitch with the rest of the lads. Big tick for everyone that contributed to this signing, the gaffer, the recruitment team, Keano, Everton and most of all Aaron.

You shouldn't have bothered Jimscho.

A positive day for the Clarets only makes he and a couple of the other dicks on here, sad.

Would not surprise me at all to see Sean rejuvenate Lennon and we could get a couple of really good seasons from him - like this signing more the more I think about it.

From signing fringe and newly relegated players and turning them into England internationals, to signing England internationals.

I struggle to get my head round it at times. What a club we have here in Burnley. We must be totally unique.

You've got to think that signing Lennon wasn't on the cards a week before, when Nkoudou joined, because surely we'd have wanted to give number 7 to a permanent signing (who plays on the right wing) than a loanee who plays on the left.

Or there’s some substance in the rumour that Nkoudou is going to a permanent move eventually

Or we're not that bothered who gets which squad number because it doesn't mean anything.

It was very much on the cards - I was initially expecting the Lennon deal to go through in the week after the FA Cup tie at Man City. I don't know how numbering works, other than we can't use a number higher than our highest (Arfield 37) when there are free numbers lower. Not sure why, but we've avoided using 14 & 15 since Jones & Bamford left but we now have it filled from 1 to 29 (other than those two and Darikwa's old 27).

Let's give them all squad numbers in the #70s #80s and #90s then

Why not? Although it appears that PL rules don't allow it.
