There's some even stranger phobias... Papaphobia - a fear of the pope.

I particularly find the stone ones, in poorly lit spaces, difficult to navigate. I can comfortably run 10km in under 45 minutes… It once took me that amount of time to navigate a single descent of a spiral staircase in a stone-built tower in St. Andrews, Scotland.

stay away from the stairs in Convent Garden tube then, decided too walk once since the queue for the lift was enormous, was looking for an oxygen tent when I got to the top!

I have a phobia about thinking for myself or trying to better myself or my community.

Therefore I'll be re-electing the union president and voting Labour!

Being struck in the shoulder, in a manner akin to Lord Nelson on the Victory, by a piece of shattered propeller from a single engined plane doing stunts in the sky above. I know the chances are utterly remote, but I can never watch such an aeronautical display with any real comfort. I know that, when it happens, I’ll be stood there with the offending piece of delaminated wood or carbon fibre protruding from the bloody wound for long enough to sigh with resignation and remark, “I bloody told you so!” to my stunned wife.
